Candidate Profile

The Virgin Atlantic Pilot community is built on diverse backgrounds, with respect and teamwork being fundamental values. The ideal candidate possesses a genuine passion for flying and all facets of aviation, seeking a key role in helping Virgin Atlantic become the 'Most Loved' Travel Company.

To be suitable for this role, applicants must meet the following essential criteria:

• A minimum of 1500 hours (for First Officer applicants) or 3000 hours (for Senior First Officer applicants) of flight time on a multi-pilot turbojet or a multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane with a maximum take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or a certified passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers.
• Hold current qualification and be type-rated on the A320, A330, A350, or A380.
• Possess a current UK CAA Class One Medical Certificate.
• Hold an Unfrozen ATPL licence issued by the UK CAA, with a valid type rating at the time of joining.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English, certified as ICAO level 6 English Proficiency upon application.
