Role Description

A Virgin Atlantic Pilot demonstrates excellent aircraft handling skills, coupled with extensive procedural and technical knowledge during operations. The role requires strong leadership and outstanding human factors capabilities, fostering the passion and drive essential for future Commanders within the airline. As a highly motivated professional pilot, the individual is responsible for ensuring customers experience an exceptional journey, delivering consistent operational excellence in the sky while upholding the highest safety standards. Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A minimum of 1500 hours (for First Officer applicants) or 3000 hours (for Senior First Officer applicants) of total flight time. This experience must be on a multi-pilot turbojet or multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane with a maximum take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or a certificated passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers.

Current qualification and type rating on one of the following aircraft: A320, A330, A340, A350, or A380.

Possession of a current UK Class One Medical certificate.

An Unfrozen ATPL licence issued by the UK CAA. A valid type rating must be held upon joining the airline.

Demonstrated high level of proficiency in English, certified as ICAO level 6 English Proficiency at the time of application.
