Role Overview
Aer Lingus UK, an affiliate of Ireland's sole 4-Star airline as awarded by SkyTrax, is actively recruiting for permanent Direct Entry First Officer positions based in Manchester. Key Responsibilities
- Uphold Safety Standards: Adhere to and promote the highest safety standards by performing all duties in accordance with company policies, Aer Lingus UK Operations Manuals, and all relevant regulatory requirements. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew are paramount.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate effectively with the Captain and all cabin crew members to ensure smooth, efficient, and punctual flight operations.
- Customer Focus: Address and resolve passenger queries with professionalism and empathy, consistently striving to exceed customer expectations and enhance their journey.
Essential Criteria and Qualifications
- Hold a valid UK ATPL or Frozen ATPL (ATPL(f)).
- Possess a current A330 or A320 Type Rating with a valid Licence Proficiency Check (LPC) upon commencement of employment.
- For candidates seeking the A330 CCQ, a minimum of 1,500 hours on the A320 is required. Time on type for A330-rated pilots is flexible.
- Be eligible to live and work indefinitely in the United Kingdom without restriction.
- Hold a valid passport allowing unrestricted international travel.
- Be capable of obtaining the necessary US immigration and entry visas.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5.
- Ability to report for standby duty at the Manchester base within 120 minutes.
- Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive five-year background check and airport security vetting process.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnights, as required by airline operations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
