The Role

EasyJet is seeking permanent, Non-Type Rated Co-Pilots to join the flight crew at UK-based locations. Depending on experience, successful candidates will serve as Second Officers, First Officers, or Senior First Officers. Pilots will operate a young, modern fleet on short-haul routes while benefiting from industry-leading training, flexible rostering, and a culture centered on professional progression and the "Orange Spirit."

Initial Training

Selected candidates will complete a self-funded A320 Type Rating with an approved training organization at the start of employment, followed by an EasyJet Operator Conversion Course (OCC). The Type Rating program lasts approximately 6-8 weeks, with a self-funded cost of approximately £22,000 or a bonded 36-month salary deduction of approximately £620 (exact figures to be confirmed at the point of offer).

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Current operation on aircraft above 10 Tonnes MTOW within the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of 1,000 total flying hours (including at least 500 hours on aircraft above 10 Tonnes MTOW) by the time of EasyJet induction.
  • A UK CAA Licence (or the eligibility and willingness to convert to one by induction).
  • A UK CAA Class 1 Medical (or the eligibility and willingness to convert to one by induction).
  • Minimum ICAO Level 4 English proficiency.
  • The right to live and work in the UK, with unrestricted access across the UK, EEA, and the EasyJet network.

Note: This position is exclusively for UK-based roles.

  4. Assessment Centre: Includes both non-technical and technical (simulator) assessments conducted at an EasyJet Simulator Centre.

Assessment Centres are scheduled to begin in July, with Type Rating courses commencing from October 2026.
