Aer Lingus, Ireland's only "4-Star" airline (as awarded by SkyTrax World Airline Star Rating), is seeking applications for permanent Direct Entry First Officers to be based with Aer Lingus UK in Manchester. Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Ensures the safety and well-being of all customers and crew, maintaining the highest safety standards by carrying out duties in line with company policies/procedures and in accordance with Aer Lingus UK Operations Manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Handles customer queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues effectively, and making every effort to meet and exceed the needs and preferences of all passengers.
- Teamwork: Collaborates closely with fellow flight and cabin crew members to ensure smooth and efficient operations, contributing to a strong and supportive team environment.
Qualifications and Key Criteria:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Eligible to live and work in the UK without restriction.
- Must be able to apply for and obtain relevant US immigration/entry visas, a pre-requisite for the role (for travel to/from the United States).
- Holds a valid passport allowing unrestricted worldwide travel.
- Ability to report for duty within 120 minutes when on standby duty.
- Holds a UK ATPL or ATPL (f) licence.
- Holds an A330 or A320 Type-Rating.
- Required Time on Type: A330 – flexible; A320 for CCQ consideration – 2,500 hours on A320.
- LPC must be valid upon commencement of employment.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with an ELP level 5 required.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to working shifts, unsociable hours, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
- Able to pass an airport security vetting procedure, including a five-year background check.
