As a pilot with British Airways, the career path offers unparalleled flexibility. Initial assignment will be to one of the airline's four long-haul fleets. Prospective First Officers are required to meet the following criteria:
Pilots who currently hold an EASA licence and previously held a UK Part-FCL licence should upload a copy of their previous UK licence or proof of completing training in the UK leading to a UK licence in the supporting files section of their application.
Job offers will predominantly be made for the A320 and Boeing 777 fleets. Boeing 777 pilots will operate out of London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW)** and will also operate the Boeing 777X upon its entry into service. A limited number of vacancies may exist on other fleets, with preference given to candidates holding a current rating on the specific aircraft type. Transitions to other fleets will be managed via the internal fleet move system and awarded based on seniority.
**Hotel accommodation can be requested and will be provided for Boeing 777 LGW flights on the day before duty and a day room after landing, if the flight duty period exceeds 8 hours and is not a positioning sector.
