Direct Entry Pilot - BA Euroflyer
British Airways is seeking highly motivated and experienced Direct Entry Pilots with the ambition for Command to join the BA Euroflyer team. As the nation's flag carrier, British Airways connects Britain with the world, building on a legacy of over 100 years of aviation excellence.
The successful candidate will be an experienced First Officer with demonstrated leadership capabilities, inspired to become a Captain and exemplify the highest professional standards within the BA Euroflyer operation. The pathway is designed to support the Direct Entry Pilot’s progression to Captain within 12 months, contingent upon vacancy availability and meeting the required performance standards.
BA Euroflyer colleagues are pivotal in elevating the airline to new heights at London Gatwick. The airline boasts a growing network of over 40 destinations, encompassing popular holiday destinations in Europe and North Africa. Flight crew enjoy a fixed pattern roster system, supporting a desirable work-life balance. Based in Sussex, the flying programme ensures a return to the London Gatwick base each evening. Pilots can preference flying schedules, with opportunities to swap with colleagues.

- Starting salary of £78,000 plus allowances circa £14,332 (based on 800 flying hours per year).
- Upon successful completion of the command course, the salary will increase to £115,460 plus allowances, circa £25,148, with annual incremental pay uplifts on a 15-point pay scale.

Requirements:
- Current UK-issued CAA Flight Crew Licence ATPL (A), fATPL (A), MPL or hold an EASA licence and meet the "Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements" set out by the UK CAA (route 3, 4, 5 or 6).
- A minimum of 2500 hours total time (subject to factorisation). Please include breakdown of hours in application.
- The right to live and work in the UK.
- Height between 1.57m (5’2”) and 1.91m (6’3”). Qualified pilots taller than 1.91m may submit an application but will be required to undergo a functionality check.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Spoken and written English ICAO level 6.
- Valid passport (minimum 12 months before expiry date).
- Valid class one medical with a minimum of 6 months validity from contract start.
