British Airways is seeking highly skilled and motivated Direct Entry Pilots with the ambition to achieve Command, to join the BA Euroflyer team. As an experienced First Officer, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and aspire to become a Captain, setting the highest professional standards within the BA Euroflyer operation.

This role offers a structured pathway designed to support the Direct Entry Pilot's progression to Captain at BA Euroflyer within approximately 12 months, contingent upon vacancy availability and meeting performance standards. At BA Euroflyer, every team member contributes to elevating the airline's presence at London Gatwick. The airline's expanding network encompasses over 40 destinations, featuring popular European and North African holiday destinations.

Based in Sussex, the flight program allows pilots to return to London Gatwick each evening. Flight crew members benefit from a fixed pattern roster bidding system, facilitating a healthy work-life balance. Pilots can express preferences for flight schedules.

BA Euroflyer is hosting recruitment roadshows across the UK, including London Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow. Pilots will be available to answer questions and host 'Day in the Life at BA Euroflyer' presentations.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting salary of £78,000 plus allowances circa £14,332 (based on 800 flying hours per year).
  • Upon successful completion of the command course, salary increases to £115,460 plus allowances, circa £25,148, with annual incremental pay uplifts.

Requirements:

  • Current UK issued CAA Flight Crew Licence ATPL (A), fATPL (A), MPL or hold an EASA licence and meet the “Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements” set out by the UK CAA (route 3, 4, 5 or 6).
  • A minimum of 2500 hours total time (subject to factorisation).
  • The right to live and work in the UK.
  • Height between 1.57m (5’2”) and 1.91m (6’3”).
  • Good level of physical fitness.
  • Spoken and written English ICAO level 6.
  • Valid passport (minimum 12 months before expiry date).
  • Valid class one medical with a minimum of 6 months validity from contract start.
