The Opportunity: Direct Entry Pilot (DEP) - Aspiration for Command
BA Euroflyer is actively seeking highly skilled and ambitious Direct Entry Pilots (DEPs) with a clear aspiration for Command. As an experienced First Officer, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, consistently modelling the highest professional standards throughout BA Euroflyer operations. The structured pathway for DEPs is meticulously designed to support progression to Captain within BA Euroflyer, typically within 12 months, contingent upon vacancy availability and the attainment of required performance standards.

Essential Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a current UK-issued CAA Flight Crew Licence (ATPL (A), fATPL (A), or MPL), or an EASA licence meeting the UK CAA's “Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements” (Routes 3, 4, 5, or 6).
- A minimum of 2,500 total flying hours (subject to factorisation); a detailed breakdown of hours must be included in the application.
- Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Height between 1.57m (5’2”) and 1.91m (6’3”). Candidates exceeding 1.91m may apply but will be subject to a functionality check to confirm suitability for BA Euroflyer fleet seating positions.
- Demonstrated good level of physical fitness.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English to ICAO Level 6.
- A valid passport with a minimum of 12 months validity from the prospective contract start date.
- A valid Class 1 medical certificate with at least 6 months validity remaining from the prospective contract start date.
Application Process Notes
- Candidates who are unsuccessful at the initial screening, video interview, capacity testing, or assessment centre stage are eligible to reapply for the pilot recruitment campaign after 6 months from their most recent assessment date. For those unsuccessful at the SIM stage, a 12-month waiting period is required before reapplication.
- Applicants may only apply to one airline within the British Airways family (British Airways, BA Euroflyer, or BA Cityflyer) concurrently. Unsuccessful candidates in one campaign are ineligible to reapply to any of the three airlines within the British Airways family until the specified re-application period has expired.
- Successful candidates will be placed into a hold pool. Individuals in the hold pool will receive a maximum of two job offers. Should a candidate decline their second job offer, they will be removed from the hold pool and must wait 12 months before reapplying and completing the entire selection process anew.
