Minimum Essential Qualifications and Flight Experience
Prospective applicants must rigorously meet the following mandatory requirements to be considered for this Type-Rated Pilot position:
- Minimum Flight Hours: A minimum of 1500 hours flight time in type is strictly required.
- Type Rating: A current and valid Type Rating is essential for the commencement of duties.
- Licensing: Applicants must hold a valid UK CAA-issued Frozen ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License), instrument rating (IR), and multi-engine rating (ME).
- Training Validity: The candidate’s License Proficiency Check (LPC) must remain valid upon the intended date of commencement of employment.
- Medical Certification: Possession of a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: Must demonstrate ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) at Level 5 or higher.
Operational and Compliance Requirements
The role demands significant flexibility and strict compliance with stringent international travel and security regulations:
- Residency and Work Authorization: Candidates must be fully eligible to live and work permanently and without restriction in the United Kingdom.
- Visa Compliance: The ability to apply for and successfully obtain all necessary US immigration and entry visas is a mandatory pre-requisite for the role, facilitating travel to and from the United States.
- Passport Validity: Must hold a current, valid passport that permits unrestricted worldwide travel.
- Standby Duty Readiness: The candidate must possess the ability to report for duty at the required base within 120 minutes when assigned standby duty.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility and readiness to work demanding shifts, including unsociable hours, weekends, public holidays, and overnight stays.
- Security Clearance: The ability to successfully pass a rigorous airport security vetting procedure, including a mandatory five-year verifiable background check.
