Direct Entry First Officer - Aer Lingus UK (Manchester Base)

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all customers and crew by maintaining the highest safety standards, operating in line with company policies, procedures, Aer Lingus UK Operations Manuals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle customer queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, effectively resolving issues and striving to meet and exceed the needs and preferences of all passengers.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow flight and cabin crew to ensure smooth and efficient operations, contributing to a strong team environment.

Qualifications and Key Criteria:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without restriction.
  • Ability to apply for and obtain relevant US immigration/entry visas, which is a pre-requisite for travel to/from the United States.
  • Hold a valid passport allowing unrestricted worldwide travel.
  • Ability to report for duty within 120 minutes when on standby.
  • Hold a UK ATPL or ATPL (f) licence.
  • Hold an A330 or A320 Type-Rating.
  • Time on type requirements: A330 – flexible, CCQ – 2,500 hours on A320.
  • LPC must be valid upon commencement of employment.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with an ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 5 or higher required.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to working shifts, including unsociable hours, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
  • Ability to pass airport security vetting procedures, including a five-year background check.
