Virgin Atlantic Airways seeks a skilled First Officer or Senior First Officer to join their team at London Heathrow. This permanent role involves operating long-haul flights on advanced Airbus aircraft, contributing to the company's innovative approach to aviation and sustainability.

About the Role

The First Officer / Senior First Officer will operate state-of-the-art Airbus aircraft, including the A330 Neo and A350-1000, on an exclusive long-haul network from London Heathrow. This position demands exceptional aircraft handling skills, comprehensive procedural and technical knowledge, and strong human factors awareness. The role offers a pathway for career progression to Commander, emphasizing operational excellence, customer experience, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1500 flight hours for First Officer or 3000 flight hours for Senior First Officer.
• Experience on multi-pilot turbojet or multi-pilot turbo-prop aircraft with a maximum take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes, or a passenger seating configuration exceeding 19 passengers.
• Current and qualified on the A320, A330, A340, A350, or A380.
• Hold a current UK Class One Medical certificate.
• Possess an unfrozen ATPL licence issued by the UK CAA with a valid type rating.
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English, certified as ICAO Level 6.
• For military applicants, previous experience on C17 Globemaster, A330 Voyager, Poseidon, A400M Atlas, RC-135, Wedgetail AEW, or Envoy IV is required.
