Role Overview
Virgin Atlantic is seeking motivated and high-performing First Officers and Senior First Officers to join its flight operations team. Operating exclusively long-haul routes from London Heathrow, successful candidates will fly technologically advanced aircraft, including the A330 Neo and A350-1000. This role requires a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and leadership, with a clear pathway for professional development toward the position of Commander.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum flight experience: 1,500 hours for First Officer / 3,000 hours for Senior First Officer. Experience must be on multi-pilot turbojet or turbo-prop aircraft with a maximum take-off mass of at least 10 tonnes or a seating configuration exceeding 19 passengers.

Current and qualified on the Airbus A320, A330, A340, A350, or A380.

Valid UK Class One Medical.

Unfrozen ATPL issued by the UK CAA, with a valid type rating upon joining.

ICAO Level 6 English Proficiency.

Military applicants must possess relevant experience on C17 Globemaster, A330 Voyager, Poseidon, A400M Atlas, RC-135, Wedgetail AEW, or Envoy IV.
