The Opportunity: A320 Captain

easyJet is actively seeking highly skilled and passionate A320 Rated Captains to join its dynamic team on a permanent, full-time contract. This exciting opportunity is specifically available for positions based in Lisbon or Porto, Portugal. Initial Training Overview

Upon joining easyJet, A319/A320/A321 Captains will undertake a comprehensive easyJet Operator Conversion Course (OCC).

Requirements of the Role

To be considered for this Captain position, applicants must fulfill the following essential criteria:

  • Demonstrated recent operational experience as a Commercial Passenger Captain on A320 family aircraft within the last 12 months (at the point of application).
  • A minimum of 4,000 total flying hours.
  • A minimum of 1,000 total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours on A320 family aircraft (to be met by the easyJet start date).
  • Possession of an Austrian EASA Licence, or willingness to convert to one.
  • Possession of an Austrian EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate, or willingness to convert to one.
  • A minimum of ICAO Level 4 English language proficiency.
  • Legal right to live and work in Portugal, with unrestricted access across the UK, EEA, and the entire easyJet network.

The Selection Process

The comprehensive selection process for A320 Captains at easyJet is structured as follows:

  • Stage 1: Online Application Submission
  • Stage 2: Online Assessments
  • Stage 3: Application Review
  • Stage 4: Assessment Centre – Candidates successful in Stages 1-3 will be invited to an easyJet Assessment Centre, typically held at one of the airline's Simulator Centres. This stage includes both a Non-Technical and a Technical (Simulator) Assessment.
