The journey begins with United's industry-leading Flight Attendant Initial Training, a 6.5-week immersive program in Houston, TX, focused on safety and service standards. Upon successful completion, trainees are assigned to one of seven major hubs: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, or Washington Dulles, or other designated flight attendant bases. Relocation assistance is not provided. Trainees receive a weekly stipend of $140, along with dual-occupancy hotel accommodations and meals during the training period.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Safety First: Uphold the highest standards of aviation safety.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrate a people-first demeanor, adept at managing diverse customer interactions with optimism, exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and compassionate problem-solving. Cultivate customer loyalty through exemplary service and represent United with pride.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to a 24/7 global operation, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. Be prepared for reserve assignments on short notice and extended periods away from base. Dependability and punctuality are paramount for operational success.
  • Team Collaboration: Exhibit a consistent ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Global Exploration: Seize the opportunity to travel the world, engage with diverse cultures, and create memorable experiences for every passenger.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting hourly pay of $28.88, with the potential to reach $67.11 per hour based on seniority.
  • Additional compensation is available for language proficiency, lead positions, and international travel.
  • Comprehensive benefits package includes 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, employee assistance programs, and paid time off for sick and vacation days.
  • Extensive travel privileges for employees, family, and friends on a stand-by basis.
  • Eligibility for bonus programs, including profit sharing.

Job Posting End Date: November 19, 2025.
