Job Summary

The Supervisor, Inflight Services plays a crucial role in supporting and engaging a diverse team of flight attendants, fostering trust with flight crew members, and collaborating with operational teams to deliver exceptional customer service while embodying Core4 values. This position is dedicated to inspiring flight attendants to provide a high-quality onboard experience, driving improvements in Net Promoter Score (NPS), and recognizing exemplary service and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire flight attendants to deliver a high-quality onboard experience to drive improvement in Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Recognize flight attendants for exemplary service, teamwork, and performance.
  • Assist flight attendants at the Concierge Desk and resolve issues promptly.
  • Exercise Core4 values to provide local support and care for flight attendants during any Inflight incident.
  • Oversee the performance of the flight attendant team in accordance with the flight attendant collective bargaining agreement.
  • Conduct investigations regarding performance, complaints, or other work-related issues.
  • Keep the flight attendant team informed by sharing corporate initiatives and changes in policy or procedures.
  • Oversee the delivery of new inflight products as determined by the Flight Experience team.
  • Ensure daily company goals, policy, and procedure compliance are met.
  • Coordinate with customer service and Station Operations Center (SOC) to ensure operational success.
  • Ensure safety goals are met and FAA regulatory requirements are consistently adhered to by the team.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment with enthusiasm for people and delivering exceptional service.
  • Develop positive relationships with team members and other work groups to achieve common goals.
  • Participate in planeside briefings and engage with flight attendants to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources.
  • Share customer feedback and escalate issues that may interfere with the crew’s ability to deliver prescribed service.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Required to attend United's flight attendant training to earn FAA certification if not currently flight qualified.
  • 2+ years’ experience in an operations or fast-paced business environment or successful completion of a company-sponsored training program.
  • Experience leading teams and delivering customer service.
  • This is a DOT Safety Sensitive Position.
  • Ability to work on site, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and decision-making capability.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of an interview is required.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • For candidates who have not previously been a flight attendant at United Airlines, obtaining flight qualification through Inflight Training is mandatory.
  • Adherence to appearance standards for the flight attendant workgroup, including specific guidelines for hair, makeup, and tattoos (tattoos are not permitted on the head, neck, or hands, including behind the ear).
  • Ability to pass a functional reach assessment with a combined 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach (simultaneous), without shoes on.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Inflight Service, travel industry, or hospitality leadership experience.
  • Experience supervising a unionized workgroup.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $80,100.00 to $97,900.00. This range is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
