Avelo Airlines is seeking energetic and highly motivated individuals to join our growing team as Flight Attendants. As a member of the One Crew team, you will contribute to providing an exceptional customer experience, embodying Avelo's commitment to safety and service excellence for our high-value, low-fare airline.

Responsibilities

Safety

  • Ensure the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of all customers and crewmembers.
  • Respond safely and effectively to a broad range of in-flight emergencies.
  • Contribute to the smooth and efficient operations of all aircraft and flight schedules.
  • Complete incident/safety reporting requirements and submit timely documentation.

In-Flight Standards

  • Create a caring customer experience from boarding to deplaning, serving as an ambassador of the Avelo brand.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for onboard customer issues, finding creative resolutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations, complying with laws, regulations, and procedures in all operational locations.
  • Attend all training and maintain qualifications as determined by Inflight Leadership.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant Company materials, including the Inflight Service Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, and OneCrew Way Handbook, keeping current with revisions and bulletins.

Customer and Crew Leadership

  • Build customer loyalty and uphold the "One Crew" value by cooperating effectively with all operational crewmembers and Avelo leadership.
  • Treat each customer with kindness and respect.
  • Contribute to Avelo's onboard service, sales, and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Serve as a customer service, marketing, and public relations ambassador.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to report to your assigned location within 2 hours.
  • Must attend and successfully complete all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements.
  • Must be able to accept and relocate to a base assignment at the crewmember's own expense after training.
  • Must be able to work a rotating schedule with variable hours, including up to 16-hour duty days, nighttime/overnight hours, weekends, holidays, and multiple days away from home.
  • Must present a neat, professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to Avelo Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines.
  • Must comply with all DOT, FAA, and Avelo Airlines regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance for safety-sensitive transportation employees.
  • Willing and able to serve all types of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages.
  • Must maintain a working telephone number for contact and file a current address of residence with the company.
  • Must possess a valid United States passport (or foreign passport with applicable VISAs) prior to application, with at least six months of validity remaining.
  • Must have the right to travel freely in and out of the United States, and to and from all cities served by Avelo Airlines without restriction, including Canada.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must perform all duties and responsibilities outlined in the Avelo Inflight Services Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, Company safety manuals, and all duties assigned by the flight Captain or Avelo leadership.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision must be at least 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses.
  • Ability to physically lift 50 pounds from ground to waist.
  • Ability to walk forward down the aircraft aisle without interfering with the comfort of seated customers.
  • Ability to be seated in a jumpseat with all belts/restraints fastened, without the use of a seatbelt extension.
  • Ability to maintain balance while walking and standing during flight.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for long periods.
  • Ability to push or pull aircraft doors/exits, or food/beverage carts with a force of up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to assist customers needing assistance during an evacuation.

Compensation

  • Starting pay: $28 per hour.
  • 75-hour minimum monthly guarantee.
  • Lead pay: $2.00 override when flying in the lead position.
  • Per Diem: $2.25 per hour when on duty at the airport or flying.
  • Premium pay paid as applicable.
  • Holiday Pay for company-identified holidays as applicable.
