Flight Attendant - Bradley International Airport (BDL)
Breeze Airways is seeking professional and "Seriously Nice" candidates to join our team as full-time Flight Attendants at the Bradley International Airport (BDL) crew base. Position Overview
Flight Attendants are highly visible representatives of Breeze Airways, responsible for the safety, comfort, and positive experience of our guests. This role requires the ability to mitigate high-stress situations, problem-solve collaboratively, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Key Details
- Monthly Guarantee: 70 flying hours.
- Residency Requirement: Must live within a two-hour driving distance of Bradley International Airport (BDL).
- Training Commitment: Candidates must be available to attend and complete a 3+ week, full-time initial Flight Attendant training program without interruption within the next three months.
- Application Limit: Applicants may only submit one Flight Attendant application every three months.
Compensation and Benefits
Flight Attendants receive a competitive pay structure with annual progression. Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance, 401K eligibility after 90 days, vacation/PTO, and flight travel benefits.
Pay Scale (Hourly Rates)
1 month - 6 months: $25.00 | 6 months - 1 year: $27.00 | Year 2: $28.50 | Year 3: $30.00 | Year 4: $31.50 | Year 5: $33.00 | Year 6: $34.50 | Year 7: $36.00 | Year 8: $37.50
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining a safe cabin environment.
- Communicate emergency procedures clearly and administer first-aid or medical care if required.
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with all FAA, DOT, and company regulations.
- Demonstrate punctuality, personal responsibility, and professional etiquette.
- Maintain flexibility regarding schedules due to operational or weather-related delays.
- Utilize company inflight technology and maintain cabin/galley organizational standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
- Possess a current Passport with at least six months of validity remaining at the time of application.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Physical ability to perform all safety duties, including operating emergency exits and assisting passengers.
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and a comprehensive background check, including a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history check.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including holidays, weekends, and overnights, and accept "Reserve Assignments."
- Adherence to company grooming, tattoo, and piercing policies.
Physical Demands
The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods, lift luggage, push/pull catering carts (up to 60 lbs), open/close overhead bins (up to 50 lbs force), and operate aircraft doors/exits (up to 90 lbs force). Candidates must be able to work in a pressurized cabin environment and assist disabled passengers.
