Role Summary

Solairus Aviation is seeking a Full-Time Flight Attendant for an operation based in Austin, TX (KAUS). This role requires a flexible and dedicated individual committed to providing exceptional, around-the-clock service to passengers. A passion for culinary arts, with required culinary experience and preferred advanced training, is essential. The Flight Attendant will ensure the safety and comfort of aircraft passengers throughout their journey.

About the Role

  • Deliver a high level of service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort during flights.
  • Direct and assist passengers in emergency situations.
  • Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED.
  • Secure the cabin in compliance with federal regulations prior to take-off and landing.
  • Reassure passengers during turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
  • Conduct preflight briefings.
  • Verify and manage onboard supplies including food, beverages, and emergency equipment.
  • Shop for passenger-requested items for flights.
  • Inspect, clean, and stock the cabin, galley, and lavatories after each flight leg.
  • Conduct periodic cabin checks to maintain passenger comfort and cleanliness.
  • Complete all necessary preflight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
  • Operate cabin audio and video systems.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • First Aid Training Certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
  • Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar institution is preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory. Candidates without formal training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial training before flight assignment. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed such training within the past 12 months.
  • Technologically proficient.
  • Flexibility and patience are essential.
  • Demonstrated culinary skills and specific culinary training.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic schedule, including late-night flights.
  • Availability to fly on short notice, with a 2-3 hour response time if on standby.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, considering health and visa status.
  • Capacity to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
  • Proficiency in operating cabin management systems, galley equipment, and all cabin features, including seating configurations and bed preparation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 or better; uncorrected vision no worse than 20/20. Ability to read reports, charts, manage paperwork, and use electronic devices.
  • Clear speaking ability and adequate hearing for effective communication in various aircraft environments.
  • Physical capability to walk, stand for extended periods (up to 14 hours), and work in diverse climates.
  • Ability to kneel in luggage compartments and maneuver within confined aircraft spaces.
  • Ability to open/close the main cabin door (up to 130 lbs), write, type, use electronic devices, and prepare/serve food and beverages.
  • Capability to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25-30 pounds from floor to waist level.

Qualifications

  • College degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
  • Experience with small children is preferred.
