Position: Flight Attendant

Avelo Airlines is seeking energetic and highly motivated Flight Attendants to join our growing team of safety and service professionals. Key Responsibilities

  • Safety: Ensure the safety, security, and welfare of all customers and crewmembers; respond effectively to in-flight emergencies; maintain operational efficiency; and complete all required safety reporting documentation.
  • Inflight Standards: Deliver a caring customer experience from boarding to deplaning; serve as the primary point of contact for onboard issues; adhere strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations; and maintain proficiency in all company manuals, including the Inflight Service Manual and Flight Attendant Playbook.
  • Customer and Crew Leadership: Build customer loyalty through teamwork; treat every customer with kindness and respect; contribute to onboard service and revenue-generating initiatives; and act as a brand ambassador for Avelo Airlines.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid U.S. passport (or foreign passport with applicable visas) with at least six months of validity remaining; must have the ability to travel freely in and out of the U.S. and to all cities served by Avelo (including Canada).
  • Fluency in English (understand, speak, read, and write).
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to report to the assigned base within two hours.
  • Ability to successfully complete all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements.
  • Must be able to relocate to a base assignment at the crewmember’s expense after training.
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule with duty days of up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and multiple days away from home.
  • Ability to serve all types of food and beverages, including alcohol.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Avelo uniform guidelines.
  • Compliance with all DOT, FAA, and Avelo Airlines regulations regarding safety-sensitive employees.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision of at least 20/40 (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs from ground to waist.
  • Ability to push/pull aircraft doors or service carts with up to 100 lbs of force.
  • Capability to perform duties such as standing, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, and crouching for long periods.
  • Must fit in the jumpseat with all restraints fastened without the use of seatbelt extensions.
  • Ability to maintain balance while walking/standing during flight and assist customers during evacuations.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $28.00 per hour.
  • 75-hour minimum monthly guarantee.
  • Lead position override: $2.00 per hour.
  • Per Diem: $2.25 per hour while on duty.
  • Premium and holiday pay applicable as per company policy.
