Responsibilities

Safety and Security

  • Ensure the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of all customers and crewmembers.
  • Respond safely and effectively to in-flight emergencies.
  • Contribute to efficient aircraft operations and flight schedules.
  • Complete incident and safety reporting and submit required documentation in a timely manner.

In-Flight Standards

  • Provide a caring customer experience from boarding to deplaning.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer issues, providing creative resolutions.
  • Adhere to all Federal Aviation Regulations, company laws, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain qualifications through mandatory training and stay current with all revisions to company materials, including the Inflight Service Manual and Flight Attendant Playbook.

Customer and Crew Leadership

  • Build customer loyalty through effective cooperation with all operational crewmembers and leadership.
  • Treat each customer with kindness and respect.
  • Support on-board service, sales, and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for customer service, marketing, and public relations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport (or foreign passport with applicable VISAs) with at least six months of validity remaining. Must have the right to travel freely in and out of the U.S. and to all Avelo-served cities, including Canada.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to report to the assigned location within two hours; living in or near the base is highly recommended.
  • Must be able to accept and relocate to a base assignment at the crewmember's own expense post-training.
  • Must be able to work a rotating schedule, including variable hours up to 16-hour duty days, nights, weekends, holidays, and multi-day assignments away from home.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance according to Avelo uniform guidelines.
  • Must comply with all DOT, FAA, and Avelo Airlines regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance for safety-sensitive employees.
  • Must be willing to serve food and alcoholic beverages.
  • Must maintain a reachable telephone number and current address on file with the company.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision must be at least 20/40 with or without glasses/contacts.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground to waist.
  • Ability to walk down aircraft aisles without interfering with seated customers.
  • Ability to be seated in the jumpseat with all belts fastened without a seatbelt extension.
  • Ability to maintain balance while walking or standing during flight.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for long periods.
  • Ability to push/pull aircraft doors or service carts with up to 100 lbs of force.
  • Ability to assist customers during an evacuation.

Compensation

  • Starting pay: $28.00 per hour.
  • 75-hour minimum monthly guarantee.
  • Lead pay: $2.00 override for time spent in the lead position.
  • Per Diem: $2.25 per hour while on duty or flying.
  • Premium and holiday pay applicable as per company policy.
