Flight Attendant
Job Summary
Eastern Airlines seeks a service-oriented Flight Attendant with an open and available schedule to join their team. Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in preflight briefings, produce reports, perform safety checks, and prepare aircraft.
- Ensure adequate stocking and appropriate delivery of onboard food, beverages, and supplies.
- Process payments and/or manage inventory for restocking.
- Make announcements, greet passengers, verify boarding passes, address passenger inquiries, assist with baggage stowage, and provide support to passengers requiring assistance.
- Conduct safety demonstrations, educate passengers on emergency equipment and exit row seating, and operate audio equipment.
- Monitor cabin aisles to ensure passenger compliance with federal regulations before take-offs and landings, and conduct periodic checks to enhance passenger comfort.
- Prepare passengers and aircraft for landing in accordance with company procedures and federal regulations.
- Respond to in-flight emergencies by providing direction and assistance to passengers, including administering first aid and completing injury/incident reports.
- Complete and submit all required forms, reports, and paperwork.
- Treat all customers and vendors with courtesy and respect.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Valid US Passport, with at least 6 months of validity remaining.
- Availability for at least 18 days per month.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol checks, pre-employment DOT drug test, and Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
- Must possess and maintain a personal cell phone.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
- Ability to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Customer service experience required; hospitality or retail experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to Canada.
- Must maintain valid travel documents with no impediments to international travel.
- Physical ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, stretch, and/or bend for periods of up to 14 hours or more.
- Ability to work variable duty days each month, including potential extended periods.
- Availability to be away from home base, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to attend and successfully complete Initial Flight Attendant training and Operational Experience.
- Must maintain a polished, professional, and conservative appearance.
- No visible tattoos or body piercings are permitted while on duty.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
