Flight Attendant Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in preflight briefings, produce necessary reports, perform safety checks, and prepare aircraft for operations.

Ensure aircraft are sufficiently stocked with food, beverages, and supplies; manage inventory and process payments as required.

Greet customers, verify boarding passes, assist with bag stowage, and address passenger inquiries.

Conduct safety demonstrations, provide instructions on emergency equipment and exit row requirements, and utilize audio equipment.

Monitor cabin compliance with federal regulations prior to take-offs and landings and conduct periodic cabin checks for passenger comfort.

Prepare passengers and aircraft for landing in accordance with company procedures and federal regulations.

Respond to in-flight emergencies, provide direction to passengers, administer first aid, and complete required incident documentation.

Submit all necessary forms and paperwork accurately.

Maintain professional interactions with all customers and vendors.

Perform additional operational responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification Requirements

Must possess authorization to work in the United States.

Must hold a valid US Passport that will not expire within the next 6 months.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Education: High school diploma, GED, or higher.

Must be fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.

Prior customer service experience is required; hospitality or retail experience is preferred.

Must be able to serve alcoholic beverages.

Must be able to travel to Canada and maintain valid documentation to enter all international destinations.

Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug test, drug and alcohol screenings, and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).

Must maintain a personal cell phone.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, stretch, and bend for periods of 14 hours or more.

Availability: Must be available at least 18 days per month; must be able to work variable blocks of duty days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be available to attend and successfully complete Initial Flight Attendant training and Operational Experience.

Professionalism: Must maintain a polished, professional, and conservative appearance; no visible tattoos or body piercings are permitted while on duty.

Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
