Avelo Airlines is seeking energetic and highly motivated Flight Attendants to join our growing team. Responsibilities

Safety and Security

  • Ensure the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of all customers and crewmembers.
  • Respond safely and effectively to in-flight emergencies.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of aircraft and flight schedules.
  • Complete all required incident and safety reporting documentation in a timely manner.

In-Flight Standards

  • Create a caring customer experience from boarding to deplaning, serving as a brand ambassador.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer issues and provide creative resolutions.
  • Adhere to all Federal Aviation Regulations, company laws, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain qualifications through mandatory training and stay current with all revisions to company materials, including the Inflight Service Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, and the OneCrew Way Handbook.
  • Ensure the flight attendant tablet is maintained and updated.

Customer and Crew Leadership

  • Build customer loyalty through effective cooperation with all crewmembers and leadership.
  • Treat each customer with kindness and respect.
  • Support on-board service, sales, and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Serve as a representative for customer service, marketing, and public relations.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid U.S. passport (or foreign passport with applicable VISAs) with at least six months of remaining validity; must have the right to travel freely in and out of the U.S. and to all Avelo-served cities, including Canada.
  • Must reside in or near the assigned base and be able to report to the airport within two hours.
  • Maintain reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements.
  • Ability to relocate to a base assignment at the crewmember’s own expense.
  • Must be able to work a rotating schedule, including 16-hour duty days, nights, weekends, holidays, and multi-day trips.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance in accordance with Avelo uniform guidelines.
  • Compliance with all DOT, FAA, and Avelo drug and alcohol regulations.
  • Willingness to serve food and beverages, including alcohol.
  • Maintain a reachable telephone number and keep residency address information current.
  • Fluent in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing English.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision of at least 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs from ground to waist.
  • Ability to walk down the aircraft aisle without obstructing seated customers.
  • Must fit in the jumpseat with all belts/restraints fastened without a seatbelt extension.
  • Maintain balance while walking and standing during flight.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for long periods.
  • Ability to push/pull aircraft doors or carts with up to 100 lbs of force.
  • Ability to assist customers during an evacuation.

Compensation

  • Starting pay: $28.00 per hour.
  • 75-hour minimum monthly guarantee.
  • Lead pay: $2.00 override for the lead position.
  • Per Diem: $2.25 per hour while on duty at the airport or flying.
  • Premium and holiday pay applicable as per company policy.
