Flight Attendant - St. Louis, MO

GoJet Airlines is seeking professional and enthusiastic candidates for the position of Flight Attendant based in St. Louis, MO. As a representative of GoJet Airlines, the Flight Attendant serves as the sole crew member on the CRJ-550 aircraft operating for United Express. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of passengers while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the boarding, in-flight, and deplaning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remarkable in-flight service while maintaining a neat and orderly cabin.
  • Oversee passenger safety and respond to emergency and non-emergency situations, following all applicable regulations and work rules.
  • Exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills to manage diverse situations while in contact with the public.
  • Demonstrate high levels of dependability, punctuality, and professional conduct.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team without direct supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Must reside within 90 miles (one and a half hours) of the St. Louis, MO domicile.
  • Must possess a valid Passport, driver’s license or state ID, and Social Security card.
  • Must hold the legal right to work in the United States and travel unrestricted to/from all states and countries, including Canada.
  • Must have the ability to speak, provide emergency instructions, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Must adhere to professional appearance standards, including specific uniform, tattoo, and body piercing guidelines.
  • Must be available for on-call reserve duty, which may continue for an extended period.
  • Must be available to attend up to 6 weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Candidates must be capable of physical exertion, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects. The role involves working in small, confined spaces, exposure to varying noise levels and climates, and long periods of standing. Schedules include travel, holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Salary: $28.00 to $44.00 per hour.
  • Minimum of 75 work hours per month.
  • Per Diem: $2.00 per hour.

Training Requirements

Selected candidates must successfully complete a company-paid, five-to-six-week training program in St. Louis, MO, including hands-on aircraft evaluation. Prior to the interview, candidates must complete a mandatory supplemental video course through the Inflight Institute. Following the offer, a pre-course must be completed with a score of 80% or higher to qualify for the in-person training program.
