Role Summary
The Flight Attendant serves as the sole cabin crew member on the CRJ-550 aircraft, responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of the in-flight experience, from boarding to deplaning, while delivering unparalleled customer service and creating memorable journeys. Minimum Qualifications
Candidates for the Flight Attendant position must meet the following criteria:
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 19 years of age.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, including making announcements and giving emergency instructions.
- Possession of a valid Passport, driver’s license or state ID, and Social Security card.
- Legal right to travel unrestricted to/from all states and countries, including Canada.
- Must reside within two hours (100 miles) of the assigned domicile (Chicago, IL).
- All travel documents must remain valid throughout training and employment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Availability to attend up to six weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO.
- Willingness to serve reserve duty, being on-call and available to report for duty, which may continue for an undetermined period.
- Adherence to strict uniform standards and guidelines, maintaining a professional and conservative appearance. Visible tattoos or body piercings on the hands, face, or neck, or those visible in business attire, are not permitted, with religious belief exceptions considered.

The role of a Flight Attendant requires a commitment to physical readiness and adaptability:
- Physical exertion including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects.

- Ability to work effectively in confined spaces, and to manage environmental factors such as turbulence, dry air, and varying noise levels from aircraft engines.
- Extensive travel, requiring consecutive nights away from home and adaptation to various climates.
- Flexibility to work alternative schedules, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Proficiency in handling challenging situations, problem-solving, resolving complaints, and de-escalating conflicts.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, providing a welcoming reception to all customers.
- Capability to represent the GoJet Airlines brand professionally while in uniform.

Training Program
Selected candidates must successfully complete a company-paid training program at the GoJet Airlines Flight Attendant Training Center in Saint Louis, MO, followed by hands-on aircraft evaluation. The training program typically spans five to six weeks, depending on class size.
GoJet Flight Attendant candidates will also receive two complimentary training courses through the Inflight Institute. A mandatory short supplemental video course must be completed prior to the interview, and a pre-course with a score of 80% or higher is required for attendance at the in-person training in St. Louis. These modules are designed to prepare future Flight Attendants for their journey. Additional supplemental and aircraft courses offered by the Inflight Institute are available but not mandatory for an interview.
