Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the Flight Attendant position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of two years of college education is preferred.
- Have at least one year of customer service experience in industries such as retail, hospitality, education, or aviation.
- Demonstrate the ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard in emergency situations.
- Be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language.
- Fluency in Dutch is required for this specific role.
- Meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) established hearing and vision requirements.
- Possess a valid U.S. passport or foreign passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity, and be eligible for unrestricted global travel.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries served by United Airlines without restriction.
- Physical ability to perform job functions, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and performing a functional reach assessment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in support of United's 24/7 operations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
