This highly sought-after position provides the unique privilege of exploring the globe while on duty. United Airlines offers comprehensive training, eliminating the need for prior specialized schooling or a college degree. The journey begins with an intensive 6.5-week Initial Training program in Houston, Texas, focusing on United's rigorous safety and service standards. Upon successful completion, trainees are assigned to one of United's seven major hubs: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, or Washington Dulles, or other designated base locations. Relocation assistance is not provided. United offers a stipend of $140 per week during training, including accommodation and meals.

Compensation and Benefits

United Airlines offers a competitive compensation package, including:

• Starting hourly pay of $28.88, with the potential to reach $67.11 per hour based on seniority.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the Flight Attendant position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of two years of college education is preferred.
• Have at least one year of customer service experience in industries such as retail, hospitality, education, or aviation.
• Demonstrate the ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard in emergency situations.
• Be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language.
• Fluency in Dutch is required for this specific role.
• Meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) established hearing and vision requirements.
• Possess a valid U.S. passport or foreign passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity, and be eligible for unrestricted global travel.
• Ability to travel to and from all countries served by United Airlines without restriction.
• Physical ability to perform job functions, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and performing a functional reach assessment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in support of United's 24/7 operations.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including DOT drug screens, background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
• Commitment to adhering to United's grooming and uniform standards, including specific guidelines for visible tattoos and piercings.
