Job Summary:

As a Flight Attendant, the successful candidate serves as a vital member of the airline's inflight crew, playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers.   • Creating memorable experiences for every customer on every flight, contributing to a positive and enjoyable travel experience.

  • Proficiently operating electronic devices required for task completion.

Qualifications and Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED is required; two or more years of college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience within the service industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, food service, teaching, aviation, social service) is necessary.
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and with sufficient volume to be heard in emergency situations.
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English is mandatory.
  • Fluency in speaking and reading Italian is required.
  • Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
  • Capability to communicate effectively during high-stress situations such as aircraft evacuations, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, severe weather, and turbulence.
  • Adherence to professional appearance standards, excellent grooming, and compliance with uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines. Note: Tattoos are not permitted on the head, hands, or neck (including behind the ear). Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, and feet must not exceed the size of a credit card (3.5 x 2.24 inches) or must be covered by standard uniform pieces. Visible tattoos must not contain offensive content (including violent, obscene, sexual, racist, objectionable content, or imagery including weapons). Decorative covers, adornments, and/or jewelry on teeth or in the mouth are not permitted.
  • Must possess a valid passport prior to application with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
  • Must have physical possession of a valid U.S. passport book or foreign passport book with applicable visas, enabling global travel without restrictions to all countries the airline serves as a working crew member.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects (such as luggage to overhead bins or window exits), and push and pull beverage carts (up to 250 lbs.).
  • Ability to successfully pass a functional reach assessment with a combined 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach and hold (simultaneous), without shoes.
  • Ability to sit securely in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule supporting a 24/7 operation, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Training and Onboarding:

Successful candidates undergo 6.5 weeks of mandatory Initial Training in Houston, TX, focusing on safety and service standards. Trainees are assigned a base location in one of the airline's hubs; relocation funds are not provided. During training, a stipend of $140 per week is provided, along with dual occupancy hotel accommodations and two meals per day (breakfast and lunch or dinner). A $1,000 bonus is awarded upon successful completion of training.

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting hourly flight pay for this role is $28.88, with the top of base scale reaching $67.11 per hour. Pay increases are seniority-based, and additional compensation is provided for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. The position is eligible for bonus opportunities, including profit sharing.

Pre-Employment Screenings:

Successful candidates must successfully complete a water evacuation drill during training. Pre-employment requirements include a DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests. Candidates must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens; medical and recreational marijuana use is prohibited. A 10-year background check is required, which must not prohibit travel to destinations served by the airline (e.g., DWI/DUI history impacting entry into Canada). Hearing and vision standards, as established by the FAA and the airline, must be met, including specific audiometry and vision requirements.
