Position Summary:

The Flight Attendant plays a crucial role as a member of the cabin crew, primarily responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of passengers on board. This position requires a "People-First" mindset, exceptional customer service skills, adaptability, and the ability to perform critical safety duties. Flight Attendants serve as brand ambassadors, representing the airline with pride and distinction while delivering memorable travel experiences across the most comprehensive route network in the world.

Training and Onboarding:

Successful candidates will complete approximately 6.5 weeks of comprehensive, paid training in Houston, TX, focusing on safety and customer service standards. Upon successful completion, trainees become full-time employees and are assigned to one of the seven hubs (Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles) or another Flight Attendant base location (relocation funds are not provided). Training includes a required water evacuation drill. Pre-employment requirements include a DOT drug screen (prohibiting medical/recreational marijuana), comprehensive 10-year background checks (including criminal history that must not prohibit international travel), fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests. During training, the airline provides a weekly stipend of $140, accommodations, and two meals per day. Successful training graduates receive a $1,000 bonus.

Compensation and Benefits:

The airline offers a competitive compensation package, beginning with an hourly flight pay of $28.88, with a top of base scale reaching $67.11 per hour. Pay increases are seniority-based, and additional compensation is provided for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. This role is bonus eligible, including participation in profit sharing. Comprehensive benefits are offered, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident & disability coverage, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), commuter benefits, paid holidays, paid time off (vacation and sick time), and a 401(k) retirement plan. Generous flight privileges are available, allowing the employee, their family, and friends to travel worldwide on standby status (subject to applicable collective bargaining agreements).
