Job Description

This position does not require special schooling or a college degree; successful candidates will receive full training provided by the airline.

Candidates for the Flight Attendant position must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

Training and Onboarding

Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive training in Houston, TX, for approximately 6.5 weeks, learning airline safety and customer service standards. During training, the airline provides accommodations, breakfast, and lunch, along with a $140/week per diem. Upon successful completion of training, individuals are welcomed as full-time employees and assigned to one of the airline's seven hubs (Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles) or other flight attendant base locations (relocation funds are not provided).

Training requires successful completion of an evacuation drill in a water (pool) environment. Pre-employment requirements include a DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests. Candidates must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens; medical and recreational marijuana use is prohibited due to the safety-sensitive nature of the role. A 10-year background check is required, including criminal history; background must not prohibit international travel required by the job.

Compensation and Benefits

The airline offers employees a competitive compensation package, including competitive pay, exceptional benefits, and travel privileges. The starting hourly flight pay for this role is $28.88, with potential to reach the top of the base scale at $67.11 per hour. Seniority-based pay increases are provided, and additional compensation is available for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. This position is eligible for a bonus, including profit sharing.
