Flight Attendant

Flexibility is paramount, as Flight Attendants must be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. This position requires fulfilling reserve assignments on short notice and the ability to be away from base for extended periods. Dependability and timeliness are essential for maintaining operational efficiency and meeting customer expectations.

- Uphold excellent grooming standards and adhere to uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent; 2 or more years of college preferred.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a service-oriented industry.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand Greek fluently.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, even in emergency situations.
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, and push/pull a beverage cart (up to 250 lbs).
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule in support of United’s 24/7 operation.
- Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check.

Training:
Successful candidates will participate in a comprehensive 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, covering United Airlines' safety and customer service standards. United provides a $140/week per diem, along with accommodations, breakfast, and lunch during training. Graduates will be assigned to one of United's hub locations or other flight attendant base locations. A $1,000 bonus is awarded upon successful completion of training.
