Position Overview
A Flight Attendant is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company Inflight guidelines. This vital role contributes significantly to a secure, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all passengers aboard the aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will demonstrate a steadfast commitment to operational excellence and passenger well-being. Essential responsibilities include:
- Performing all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with unwavering attention to guest needs while consistently providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and the proficient use of all emergency equipment on board the aircraft. This includes operating all emergency exits and aircraft equipment, requiring necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Providing professional food and beverage service to passengers, which involves pushing and pulling moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Assisting passengers with the safe and proper stowage of carry-on baggage, including items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ensuring the cabin environment remains neat, orderly, and presentable throughout the flight.
- Contributing to reliable and on-time flight operations by collaborating effectively with fellow crewmembers to meet all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times.
- Executing inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Supporting other Customer Service staff as needed, assisting with passenger handling and various operational duties.
- Maintaining reliable and prompt attendance, fully complying with all company policies and procedures.
- Presenting a professional image at all times, both in conduct and appearance, strictly adhering to the Company uniform dress code.
- Complying with all Associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in applicable manuals.
- Ensuring currency of all Inflight guides and manuals.
- Fostering the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
- Performing additional duties as assigned or required to support comprehensive airline operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of two (2) years of relevant customer service experience.
- Applicants must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional years of customer service experience, ideally within an aviation or airline environment.
- Previous experience as a Flight Attendant is highly desirable.
Other Requirements
- Possession of polished interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive attitude and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability and willingness to serve and handle various food items, including peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Comfortable working with animals and around other potential allergens and products on board.
- Strict adherence to the company’s Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding appearance; tattoos are not permitted on the face (including front of face from ears forward, underside of chin and cheeks), neck (area down to where a uniform shirt collar would clearly and consistently cover), and hands (including tops and palms of hands and fingers, up through the wrist bone). Tattoos in non-prohibited areas must not be visible at any time while in uniform.
- A wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater is required to safely reach and operate all necessary aircraft equipment.
- For safety reasons, candidates must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without an extender or any modification that could compromise the harness's integrity. (For reference: the lap belt measures 50 inches when fastened, and the shoulder harness measures 40 inches when fastened).
- No multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Capability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
- Proficiency in speaking and understanding English, including the ability to project shouted verbal commands clearly during emergency situations.
Reasoning and Problem-Solving Ability
- Willingness to thrive in a time-sensitive environment and effectively manage stress associated with meeting deadlines and adapting to unexpected changes.
- Aptitude for interpreting a variety of and multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Ability to remain calm, think critically, and react swiftly in all types of emergency situations, including but not limited to: medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.

- Capacity to make day-to-day decisions supporting operational efficiency, often requiring thoughtful consideration but generally structured.
- Ability to process information quickly and respond positively during unexpected and/or serious situations.
- Capability to control personal and emotional responses, acting appropriately under high levels of stress.
Physical Demands
The physical demands outlined below are representative of those an individual must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:
- Possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits, requiring necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Capability to lift objects above shoulders, weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, even during aircraft turbulence.
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems, amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Must be able to sit in the assigned jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Ability to move about the aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively, and quickly within a confined environment.
- Capability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 100% travel, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. Candidates must be willing to relocate based on the Company’s operational needs.
