Flight Attendant
Republic Airways is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Flight Attendant to ensure the safety, comfort, and exceptional experience of passengers in strict adherence to FAA regulations and Inflight guidelines. This vital role is central to maintaining the highest standards of safety and service within our cabin operations, contributing significantly to a positive and memorable travel experience for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Emergency Preparedness: Diligently performs all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, maintaining constant attention to guest safety. Possesses thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and the proficient use of all on-board emergency equipment. Operates emergency exits and aircraft equipment, requiring specific movements and force up to 70 pounds. Reacts calmly and efficiently in all emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.
- Passenger Service Excellence: Provides attentive food and beverage service, which includes pushing and pulling moveable carts exceeding 250 pounds. Assists passengers with stowing carry-on baggage up to 35 pounds. Ensures a neat and orderly cabin environment. Conducts inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Operational Efficiency: Contributes to a reliable and on-time operation by collaborating effectively with other crewmembers to meet all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times. Assists other Customer Service staff with passenger handling or other duties as needed.
- Professional Conduct: Maintains reliable and prompt attendance. Presents a professional image through exemplary conduct and strict adherence to the Company uniform dress code. Complies with all Associate Rules of Conduct and maintains currency of Inflight guides and manuals. Fosters the Company's core values and culture. Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional years of customer service experience, preferably within an aviation environment.
- Prior Flight Attendant experience.

- Possesses polished interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrates the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
- Fluent in English, including the ability to speak and be understood clearly, even when shouting verbal commands during emergency situations.
- Willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle various food items, including peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Able to work with animals and around common allergens and products.
- Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with Republic's Flight Attendant Style Guide; tattoos are not permitted on the face (including the front of one's face from ears forward, underside of chin and cheeks), neck (area down to where a uniform shirt collar would clearly and consistently cover), and hands (including both the tops and palms of one's hands and fingers, up through the wrist bone). Tattoos in non-prohibited areas must not be visible while in uniform.
- Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to safely reach and operate all necessary aircraft equipment.
- Able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without extender or other modification. For reference, the lap belt measurement is 50 inches when fastened and the shoulder harness measurement is 40 inches when fastened.
- No multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
- Willing to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively manage stress associated with meeting deadlines and unexpected changes.
- Capable of interpreting diverse and multiple instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to process information quickly and react positively during unexpected and/or serious situations.
- Demonstrates strong day-to-day decision-making skills to support operations, capable of controlling personal and emotional responses and acting appropriately under high levels of stress.
Physical Demands
The role requires significant physical capabilities, including:
- Possessing the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits, requiring movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
- Able to push and pull moveable carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence.
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Able to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Able to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Must be able to sit in the assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Able to move about the aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively, and quickly in a confined environment.
- Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

- Works in a culturally diverse atmosphere, professionally interacting with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Accommodates customers' special needs/disabilities.
- Willing and able to work extended periods, including varied schedules with early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires up to 100% travel, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
- Willingness to relocate based on the Company's operational needs may be required.
