The Flight Attendant at CommuteAir is responsible for performing or assisting with all inflight safety, customer service, and cabin preparation duties. This role involves effective communication and cooperation with flight and ground crews as an integral team member, ensuring a safe and pleasant travel experience for passengers.
This role requires medium work, involving exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force consistently to move objects. Due to cabin maximum height limits on the Embraer 145 XR aircraft, the candidate's height must be between 4'11" and 5'11" without shoes. The ability to push and control a wheeled beverage cart weighing up to 250 lbs. is necessary. The role involves reaching, crouching, kneeling, bending, twisting, and moving in confined spaces within the aircraft cabin. The ability to reach and operate emergency equipment and exits is required. Must be able to hear clearly in a loud environment. All requirements should be achievable with or without accommodation.
Requires a minimal standard for visual acuity, typical for roles involving the preparation and analysis of data and figures, accounting, computer work, extensive reading, and visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, or the operation of machines using measuring devices.
The work environment involves varied weather conditions. Activities occur primarily inside the aircraft cabin but include exposure to outside elements, including temperature variations ranging from over 90 degrees to under 32 degrees, depending on locations and climate changes. The environment can be noisy, sometimes requiring shouting to be heard above ambient noise. Atmospheric conditions may cause heightened movement and cabin discomfort.
