About the Role
The JSX Flight Attendant is instrumental in delivering a simple, reliable, and joyful experience for every Customer, with paramount focus on safety. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of cabin equipment and controls, alongside a deep understanding of assignments, functions, and responsibilities during emergency scenarios such as ditching and the evacuation of passengers requiring special assistance.
Key Responsibilities
A typical day for a JSX Flight Attendant encompasses a range of critical duties:
- Ensuring the aircraft cabin is immaculately clean, fully stocked, and meticulously prepared for Customer boarding.
- Verifying the presence and proper functioning of all emergency equipment, including life vests, oxygen masks, and other essential supplies.
- Conducting or verifying comprehensive safety briefings during boarding and pre-flight, securing the cabin, and confirming aircraft readiness with the Captain for departure.
- Providing attentive and professional service to Customers and Crew while in flight, maintaining constant vigilance and preparedness to respond effectively to any situation.
- Applying extensive training with composure and confidence in both routine duties and emergency scenarios, providing assistance with utmost professionalism and care.

Desired Qualifications and Attributes
Required Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct face-to-face customer service experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as a Flight Attendant or Cabin Crew member.
- Proficiency in speaking and communicating in a second language.
Skills, Licenses, & Certifications:
- A current and valid Driver’s license is required.
- A current and valid Passport is required.
- Minimum age of 21 years at the time of application.
- Ability to stand between 5’0” and 5’8” without shoes, a requirement due to specific aircraft dimensions.
- Capability to sit comfortably in the assigned jumpseat without the need for an extension or modification.
- Adherence to company appearance standards, including no visible tattoos or body piercings.

JSX offers a competitive compensation package designed to attract and retain top talent:
- Daily Compensation: $198.00 per day, established through thorough market research to align with JSX's compensation philosophy.
- Health Benefits: New Crewmembers become eligible for comprehensive health coverage on the 1st of the month following their start date. Medical plans are available from just $110/month, complemented by 100% employer-paid dental and vision coverage, plus up to $2,100 annually for Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions. Short-term and long-term disability coverage is also provided at no cost.
