United Airlines Flight Attendant
United Airlines is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants. As a global ambassador, the Flight Attendant will ensure the safety, security, and comfort of passengers while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.

- Maintain flexibility and availability for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and be prepared to be away from base for extended periods.
- Work independently and collaboratively as a valuable team member.
- Serve and sell food and beverages, including alcohol, in a diligent and professional manner.
- Proficiently operate electronic devices for task completion.
- Effectively communicate in high-stress situations, such as aircraft evacuations, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, and severe weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- High school diploma or GED required; two or more years of college preferred.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a service industry, such as retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, or social services.
- Fluency in English is required, including the ability to speak, read, write, and understand the language.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand Hebrew fluently.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, projecting voice effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards, uniform guidelines, and tattoo/piercing policies. Tattoos are not permitted on the head, hands, or neck. Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, and feet must not exceed credit card size or be covered by uniform pieces. Tattoos must not be offensive.
- Decorative covers, adornments, and/or jewelry on teeth or in the mouth are not permitted.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining and be able to travel globally without restrictions.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, and lift heavy objects (up to 70 lbs).
- Ability to push and pull beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment with a combined 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule supporting United’s 24/7 operation.
- Successful completion of an evacuation drill in water (pool) during training.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
- Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens; medical and recreational marijuana is prohibited.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check.
Training:
New hires will participate in a comprehensive 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, focusing on United's safety and customer service standards. United provides a $140/week per diem, along with accommodations, breakfast, and lunch during training. Upon successful completion of training, Flight Attendants will be assigned to one of United's hub locations or other flight attendant base locations.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting hourly flight pay is $28.88/hour, with potential to reach $67.11/hour based on seniority. Additional compensation is provided for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. A $1,000 bonus is awarded upon successful completion of training.
