Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Age: Be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry.
- Communication: Speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Fluency in German: Proficiency in speaking and reading German is required.
- Physical Requirements: Be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, push and pull beverage carts, and pass a functional reach assessment.
- Travel Eligibility: Possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining validity and the ability to travel globally without restrictions.
- Legal Status: Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexibility: Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
Training and Onboarding
Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, covering United's safety and customer service standards. This training includes a $140 per week per diem, accommodations, breakfast, and lunch. Upon completion, new Flight Attendants will be assigned to one of United's seven hubs or other base locations.
