Flight Attendant

Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
- Possesses a high school diploma or GED, with two or more years of college preferred.
- Has a minimum of one year of customer service experience in a service industry such as retail, hospitality, food service, teaching/education, aviation, or social service.
- Demonstrates the ability to speak English fluently (speak, read, write, and understand).
- Must also be fluent in spoken and written German.
- Possesses a clear, concise, and organized communication style, with the ability to speak loudly enough to be heard in an emergency.
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
- Maintains a professional appearance with excellent grooming standards, adhering to uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines. Tattoos are not permitted on the head, hands, or neck. Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, and feet must not exceed credit card size (3.5 x 2.24 inches) unless covered by uniform pieces and must not contain offensive content. Decorative covers or adornments on teeth or in the mouth are prohibited.
- Holds a valid passport book with at least 18 months of remaining validity at the time of application. Physical possession of the passport is required prior to application.
- Ability to travel globally without restrictions to and from all destinations served by the airline as a working crew member. Applicants are responsible for verifying travel eligibility.
- Possesses the physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects (e.g., luggage to overhead bins or window exits), push and pull beverage carts up to 250 lbs.
- Ability to pass a functional reach assessment with a combined 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach and hold (simultaneous), without shoes.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Is willing and able to work a flexible schedule in support of a 24/7 operation, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, and be available for reserve assignments on short notice. Dependability and timeliness are critical.
- Must successfully complete a water evacuation drill during training.
- Is willing to undergo pre-employment DOT drug screens, comprehensive background checks (including fingerprinting), and vision/hearing tests. The candidate must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens; medical and recreational marijuana use is prohibited. A 10-year background check is required; criminal history must not prohibit travel to any destination the airline flies. Candidates with DWI/DUI convictions or probation within the last 10 years may require a Canadian Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) to travel to Canada.
Training and Development:
Selected candidates will participate in a comprehensive 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, covering safety and customer service standards. Accommodations, breakfast, and lunch are provided during training, along with a $140/week stipend. Upon successful completion of training, graduates receive a $1,000 bonus and are welcomed as full-time employees, assigned to one of the airline's base locations (relocation funds are not provided).
