GoJet Airlines is seeking a Flight Attendant to be based in Chicago, IL.

GoJet Airlines is actively recruiting friendly, professional, and enthusiastic individuals to join its flight crew. This position offers a unique opportunity to travel while ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers on a 50-passenger CRJ-550 aircraft flying for United Express. While no prior experience is required, candidates must be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

As a Flight Attendant, the incumbent will be the sole cabin crew member on each flight. Responsibilities encompass overseeing safety and security throughout the boarding and deplaning processes, as well as creating a memorable and positive in-flight experience for all passengers. GoJet Airlines distinguishes itself by allowing candidates to choose their base location.

  • Respond to various emergency and non-emergency scenarios (comprehensive training provided).
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professional cabin environment.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and work rules.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in spoken English, with the ability to make announcements and give emergency instructions.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Possession of a valid passport, driver’s license or state ID, and Social Security card.
  • Unrestricted legal right to travel to and from all states and Canada.
  • Residence within two hours (100 miles) of the assigned base.
  • Travel documents must remain valid throughout all phases of training and employment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to complete up to six weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO.
  • Availability to be on-call for duty at the assigned base, including reserve duty which may continue for an extended period.
  • Compliance with uniform standards and guidelines, maintaining a professional appearance. Tattoos and body piercings on the hands, face, and neck, or visible in business attire, are not permitted, with the exception of those related to religious beliefs.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and lift heavy objects.
  • Capable of prolonged periods of standing and speaking.
  • Ability to work in small, confined spaces and manage conditions such as turbulence, dry air, and varying noise levels.
  • Extensive travel, including consecutive nights away from home and exposure to varying climates.
  • Flexible availability to work alternative schedules, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Proficiency in handling difficult situations, problem-solving, and de-escalation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing friendly service to all customers.
  • Ability to represent the GoJet Airlines brand professionally while in uniform.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with customers through clear communication, strong judgment, and empathetic problem-solving.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage of $19.58.
  • Minimum guarantee of 75 flight hours per month.
  • Per diem of $2.00 per hour.

Training:

Selected candidates will participate in a company-paid training program at GoJet’s Flight Attendant Training Center in St. Louis, MO, and will undergo hands-on evaluations in the aircraft. The training program is approximately five to six weeks in duration. All Flight Attendant candidates are provided with two complimentary training courses through the Inflight Institute. Candidates are required to complete a short supplemental video course prior to the interview, and must achieve a score of 80% or higher on a pre-course to attend in-person training. These modules are designed to assist future flight attendants in understanding their journey.
