Rotary Wing Test Pilot Instructor - National Test Pilot School
The National Test Pilot School (NTPS), the world's leading total flight test training and education organization and the only accredited Test Pilot School, seeks an exceptional Rotary Wing Test Pilot Instructor to join its esteemed cadre of flight test professionals.
This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of comprehensive flight test course material. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing both academic and airborne instruction across all aspects of the Rotary Wing Performance, Flight Qualities, and Systems curriculum to both Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer students.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from a SETP recognized Test Pilot School.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely associated field with flight testing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Rotary Wing Experimental Test Pilot.
- FAA Medical 2nd Class.
- Fluency in English.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ten+ years of flight test experience.
- Previous Test Pilot School instructional experience.
- Master's Degree in Engineering (or closely related field) or equivalent.
- Test experience with Civil Certification, Radar, EO/IR & Comm/Nav systems.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License; Rotorcraft (Helicopter) and CFI.
- EASA Flight Test Instructor rating.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License; Airplane (SEL/MEL) and CFI/MEI.
- NVG and/or Helmet Mounted Display experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
NTPS offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $220,000 - $250,000, relocation assistance, a 401k retirement plan with a generous company match, retention and performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package encompassing medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% paid for employees). The position involves occasional travel for field trips, student projects, course presentations, and consulting.
