This exciting part-time, on-call Flight Attendant II position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic aviation operation in Anchorage, Alaska. As an ambassador of safety and service excellence, the Flight Attendant II plays a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of passengers aboard Q400 slope shuttle flights.
Responsibilities:
- Upholding the highest standards of passenger safety and adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Effectively managing passengers and crew members during abnormal or emergency situations, including medical emergencies.
- Actively participating in preflight briefings to ensure seamless flight operations.
- Diligently inspecting and verifying the operational readiness of all safety equipment on board the aircraft.
- Meticulously preparing the cabin for passenger service, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
- Delivering clear and concise safety briefings to passengers in accordance with FAR 125.327.
- Providing attentive and courteous in-flight service, including the service of food and beverages, including alcohol.
- Participating in all mandated training programs to maintain proficiency and knowledge.
- Remaining with the aircraft during the post-flight period to assist with passenger disembarkation and aircraft security.
- Assisting with the securing of the aircraft post-flight according to established procedures.
- Maintaining clear and effective communication with both crew members and passengers throughout the flight.
- Demonstrating the physical capability to lift and move moderately heavy items, up to 30 lbs.
- Embracing a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational demands.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of recent experience in commercial aviation, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of industry practices.
- Residence within a 90-minute drive time of the Aviation Hangar to ensure timely arrival for flight assignments.
