As a Flight Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our passengers while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Security: Maintain the highest safety and security standards in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Sun Country Airlines policies. Conduct preflight safety checks and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding expectations through a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Onboard Services: Assist with the sale of onboard amenities, prepare and serve meals and beverages, and respond to customer needs and requests.
- Emergency Response: Maintain a calm and collected presence during emergencies, administering first aid, diffusing difficult situations, and ensuring passenger safety.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety and health regulations, as well as Sun Country Airlines internal policies and procedures.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Monthly Guarantee: Enjoy a monthly guarantee of 72.5 flight hours at a rate of pay of $21.53.
- Union Representation: Sun Country Flight Attendants are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, ensuring fair compensation and working conditions.
- Training Stipend: Upon successful completion of the five-week, onsite training program at our facility in Minneapolis, MN, you will receive a $1,000 learning stipend.
- Travel and Lodging: During the training program, travel and lodging accommodations are provided by Sun Country Airlines.
Requirements:
- Passport: Must possess a valid passport with at least six months of validity prior to the start of training.
- Drug Testing: Must successfully pass all FAA-compliant drug testing.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer Service: Minimum of two years of direct customer service experience.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, understand, and clearly speak in English.
- Age: Must be 20 years or older at the end of initial training.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to reach 80 vertical inches without shoes, kneel to operate aircraft door mechanisms, perform CPR, and meet the demands of a vigorous and varied schedule.
- Appearance: Must present a neat and professional appearance, adhering to Sun Country Airlines uniform and appearance standards. No visible tattoos or body piercings.
Additional Considerations:
- Relocation: Relocation costs are the responsibility of the Flight Attendant.
- Work Schedule: As a scheduled passenger airline operating 365 days a year, Flight Attendants will be assigned to various shifts, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and "red-eye" type hours. Shifts are bid monthly based on seniority.
- Reserve Status: Reserve Flight Attendants must be able to report to the airport within two hours of notification. They are scheduled with 10 days off per month and must be immediately available by phone on other days. Line holding Flight Attendants are scheduled with a minimum of 13 days off per month.
- Travel: Extensive travel is required, including consecutive nights away from home and exposure to all climates.
- Work Environment: The primary work environment is a pressurized aircraft, with exposure to loud and distracting sounds, recycled air, and varying cabin pressures.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
