Position Summary
A Senior Flight Attendant is sought to join a leading corporate aviation department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and highest level of service for passengers aboard corporate aircraft. The Senior Flight Attendant advises the Chief Pilot on matters related to flight attendant safety, management, and policy, and collaborates closely with the Trip Captain to ensure flight safety with particular attention to passengers and the cabin environment.
This role involves significant responsibility, encompassing operational, administrative, planning, and training duties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate or private aviation, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the Trip Captain in assigned flight duties, adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and utilizing Crew Resource Management principles.
- Maintains primary inflight responsibility for assisting passengers during aircraft emergencies or life-threatening conditions, providing on-site first aid, AED/CPR administration, and coordinating with inflight medical service providers when necessary.
- Ensures the highest level of passenger service is provided to aircraft users and their guests during normal operations, following all operational manual guidance.
- Facilitates clear communication among passengers, crewmembers, and flight department administrators.
- Demonstrates operational knowledge of galley controls, cabin safety systems, and cabin lighting/audio/visual systems across all aircraft types flown.
- Ensures the aircraft cabin is fully stocked, correctly catered, and maintained in a presentable condition before passenger boarding.
- Orders catering in accordance with trip details, passenger profiles, and requests, adhering to cost containment guidelines, and serves food and beverages to passengers and crew inflight.
- Maintains cabin cleanliness during flights and conducts comprehensive cabin and equipment cleanup after each flight, including restocking, cleaning tableware and linen, to prepare the aircraft for subsequent flights.
- Maintains a valid passport and all necessary visas and identification cards.
- Participates in and assists in maintaining the Passenger Profile Database with user-specific inflight requirements, requests, and preferences.
- Manages audiovisual equipment and media inventory, ordering, and stocking.
- Monitors flight attendant uniforms and provides status reports to the Chief Pilot.
- May perform administrative/management duties at the office or support office/scheduling staff as required.
- Assists scheduling with assignments and crewing considerations for contract flight attendants.
- Maintains the inflight service plan and contributes to the development of the highest standards of customer service through input to relevant Flight Operations Manuals (FOM) and SOPs.
- Collaborates with the Chief Pilot, Training Captain, and Standardization Captain on SOP review exams.
- Develops and maintains the Contract Flight Attendant Handbook based on applicable manuals.
- Provides cabin design specification input when purchasing new aircraft.
- Monitors cabin equipment requirements, develops obsolescence plans and replacement budgets, and submits related requests.
- Manages aircraft supply lockers and inventory orders, ensuring items are utilized before expiration, disposed of appropriately, and replenished as needed.
- Coordinates flight attendant efforts to meet departmental cost-containment goals and objectives.
- Develops and conducts in-house flight attendant training seminars and departmental focus discussions.
- Assists in initial in-house training for new hires and contract flight attendants and serves as a mentor to non-Senior Flight Attendants.
- Oversees outsourced initial training processes with vendors.
Demonstrates honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct as material requirements of the position.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of related work experience as a corporate or private flight attendant is required, with extensive international experience being essential.
- An aviation training or management related background is desirable.
- Possesses strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and a thorough working knowledge of food service and passenger relations.
- Holds a current first aid certification and is qualified in AED/CPR.
