Global 6000 Second-in-Command - Chicago Area
Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Global 6000 Second-in-Command to join its team in the Chicago area. Essential Responsibilities:
The Second-in-Command is responsible for the safe operation of the Global 6000 aircraft, conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner that adheres to all applicable regulations and company policies. Specific responsibilities include:
- Reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Performing complete checks of weather conditions and facilities along the intended route and at designated airports, including alternate landing locations.
- Ensuring that all flight operations are conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation's policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Prioritizing the safety of all passengers, crew members, and the aircraft.
- Accurately completing all trip-related paperwork in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications:
- Total flight time: 1000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 500 hours
- MEL PIC time: 100 hours
- Turbo Jet time: 100 hours
- Instrument time: 75 hours
Specific Qualifications/Certifications:
- Type rating on the Global 6000 or comparable aircraft is highly desirable.
- Must possess a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must be available to work on an on-call basis.
- Must be able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
- Must reside within the Chicago area or be willing to relocate.
