Lead Pilot in Command - Global 6000 - Broomfield, CO

EJM is seeking a qualified Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 6000 aircraft based in Broomfield, CO. This position is part of a three-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under both Part 91 and 135 regulations.
The Lead PIC serves as a peer leader within the designated flight department, emphasizing effective crew resource management, client service, and the completion of flight department administrative duties. The Lead PIC actively participates in the flying schedule and fulfills all PIC duties and responsibilities. This individual maintains frequent communication with the EJM Regional Chief Pilot and fosters team engagement.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Lead Pilot in Command will:
- Manage client relationships while balancing client needs with EJM's operational requirements, proactively addressing potential issues and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with assigned maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance events, as well as routine tasks such as database updates, audits, and checklist completion.
- Complete other duties expected of the aircraft owner/account, including invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew scheduling, as defined.
- Support flight department crew members in understanding their responsibilities and motivate them to achieve flight department goals while representing the EJM brand, reporting any concerns or issues to the Regional Chief Pilot.
- Manage flight department administration matters, including supplies (office and aircraft), subscriptions, and crew schedules, while maintaining effective communication with crew members.
- Ensure crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Complete flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required.
- Employ Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel as needed, acting as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Complete all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness, and record any aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Ensure all aircraft ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and completed in accordance with SOPs.
- Deliver passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, providing the highest level of customer service and addressing any special needs.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provide quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and resolve any service deviations.
- Collaborate with crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent service experience, resolving conflicts and challenges appropriately.
- Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report safety or non-compliance concerns through established channels.
- Ensure all crew members remain qualified to perform their assigned duties in accordance with regulations and company policy.
- Ensure all crew members comply with company policies and that appropriate audits are in place.
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet is required.
- The candidate must be able to perform the essential job functions associated with the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $315,000 - $320,000.
