Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, invites highly qualified and experienced aviation professionals to apply for the position of Global 6000 Pilot in Command (PIC). This critical role supports a long-standing client based in Oxford, CT (KOXC), which is expanding its fleet with a new Global 6000, complementing its existing GL5000V. This operation is supported by a dedicated team of seven pilots, two maintenance technicians, and two cabin attendants, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations, with each aircraft flying approximately 350 hours annually.
The Pilot in Command is entrusted with the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role demands strict adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering a superior service experience to all passengers.
Ensures Safe and Compliant Flight Operations
- The Pilot in Command meticulously oversees all aspects of flight safety and regulatory compliance, verifying crew and trip assignments meet company and regulatory standards.
- Completes thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leads required briefings utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with internal personnel as required.
- Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conducts comprehensive aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status checks, to ensure mission readiness, and records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with SOPs.
- Diligently monitors and accomplishes all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to ensure clear, timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivers an Exceptional Customer Service Experience
- Provides exemplary service to aircraft owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and promptly resolving any service deviations.
- Conducts passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations, consistently striving to meet and exceed special passenger needs.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to maintain a consistent and superior service delivery, skillfully resolving conflicts and challenges.
Maintains Professional Proficiency and Regulatory Compliance
- Responsible for sustaining all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Participates actively in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is highly preferred.
- Possession of an FAA Type Rating for the applicable fleet (Global aircraft) is mandatory.
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Candidates must reside within a two-hour radius of Oxford, CT (KOXC).
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument Flight Time: 300 hours
- Jet Time: 500 hours
The base salary range for this position, categorized under Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin Size, is $160,000 - $325,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
