Position Summary
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly qualified Lead Captain for its Global 6000 operations. This pivotal role involves the ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional execution of flight assignments. The Lead Captain will embody leadership and mentorship, upholding Jet Aviation's commitment to excellence in private aviation. This position requires serving as the Pilot in Command (PIC), ensuring paramount standards of safety, security, and quality. The Lead Captain will also contribute to crew development, cultivate a culture of excellence, and represent the company's brand with distinction, elevating the client travel experience.
What We're Looking For
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Five years of aviation experience
- 3,500 hours total fixed-wing flight time
- 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine flight time
- 500 hours Turbo-Jet flight time
- 500 hours Turbine flight time
- 100 hours Night flight time
- 75 hours Simulated Instrument flight time
- Ability to work a variable schedule
- Willingness to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions
- High school diploma
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

What You'll Do
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, flight plan filing, and weather/route analysis.
- Mentor and guide crew members, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems for precise operation and adaptation to changing conditions.
- Promote a strong safety culture, adhere to best practices, conduct passenger briefings, and address aircraft discrepancies.
- Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, assist in crew hiring, and represent Jet Aviation professionally.
- Act as a brand ambassador, showcasing professionalism and dedication to delivering exceptional service.
What You'll Experience
- Physical Requirements: Tasks involving regular standing, walking, sitting, occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching; frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds (including overhead); sharp vision across various ranges and depths.
- Work Environment: Varied environments from maintenance areas to customer spaces; dynamic atmosphere of aircraft operations with potential for high noise levels, vibrations, fuel fumes, and exposure to changing weather and seasonal temperature extremes in hangar settings.
