Position Overview
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, invites applications for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 6000 aircraft, with delivery of a new Global 7500 anticipated in late August. This position is based in Windsor Locks, CT (KBDL) and is part of a dedicated 6-pilot account supported by a full-time Maintenance Technician and two Cabin Attendants, operating under Part 91. The account benefits from a dedicated Key Account Manager responsible for coordinating essential details and communications related to overall account management and crew support.
This account conducts approximately 550 flight hours annually, involving up to 70% global travel. The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience to clients.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe operation of flight, delivering an exceptional service experience, and maintaining proficiency and compliance. Key duties include:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required, acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying aircraft maintenance status to ensure mission capability and recording discrepancies per SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished according to SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation, delivering a high level of customer service, and meeting passenger special needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of operation.
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience.
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- A valid FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Global 6000/7500).
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Extensive experience flying across the Atlantic and Pacific is required.
- Candidates must be typed and current in the Global 6000 or Global 7500; other Bombardier experience may be considered.
- The Pilot in Command must reside within a two-hour radius of Bradley International Airport (KBDL). No commuting is permitted. Candidates living outside this radius must have firm intentions to relocate.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
