A Flight Attendant's primary responsibility is ensuring passenger safety during flights. This includes providing exceptional customer service while serving meals and beverages. Relocation to one of SkyWest's crew domiciles is required upon successful completion of training. Physical requirements include a height between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes, the ability to safely operate aircraft components and meet dimension standards, physical capacity to perform tasks that involve frequent movement, and the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items. Corrected vision should not exceed 20/40, and hearing should be within a normal range. A professional appearance is essential, with restrictions on extreme hairstyles, colors, piercings, and visible tattoos. Company-issued uniforms and face masks must be worn.
New hire flight attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours as a reserve after completing initial training, paid at a starting rate of $28.86 per flight hour, totaling a gross monthly compensation of $2,193.36.
