Flight Attendant
Overview
A Flight Attendant at Republic Airways is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers onboard, strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and internal Inflight guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Executes all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, providing vigilant attention to guests to ensure a safe and comfortable onboard experience.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and proficiently operates all emergency equipment onboard the aircraft, including emergency exits, requiring the ability to apply necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Delivers food and beverage service to passengers, which involves pushing and pulling service carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Assists passengers with the proper stowage of carry-on baggage, including items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ensures the cabin environment remains neat, orderly, and clean throughout the flight.
- Contributes to efficient and on-time flight operations by collaborating effectively with fellow crew members to meet all designated report, departure, and minimum turn times.
- Conducts inflight sales and promotional activities as required.
- Supports other Customer Service personnel with passenger handling and various operational duties when necessary.
- Demonstrates reliable and punctual attendance in strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Upholds a highly professional image through exemplary conduct and appearance, strictly adhering to the company uniform dress code.
- Complies rigorously with all Associate Rules of Conduct as stipulated in relevant company manuals.
- Ensures continuous currency with all Inflight guides and operational manuals.
- Actively promotes and embodies the company's core values and culture within the work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required by operational needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Applicants must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the initial interview.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Additional years of customer service experience, ideally within an aviation or airline environment.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
Other Requirements
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle various food items including peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work safely around animals, other allergens, and diverse products is essential.
- Adherence to the Flight Attendant Style Guide and Dress Code is mandatory; visible tattoos are not permitted on the face (front of face from ears forward, including underside of chin and cheeks), neck (area down to where a uniform shirt collar would clearly and consistently cover), or hands (including tops and palms of hands and fingers, up through the wrist bone) while in uniform. Tattoos in non-prohibited areas must remain concealed when in uniform.
- A minimum wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater is required to safely reach and operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
- For safety reasons, the Flight Attendant must be able to sit securely in the jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without the need for an extender or modification. (For reference: lap belt measurement is 50 inches when fastened, shoulder harness measurement is 40 inches when fastened).
- Multiple visible piercings are not permitted while in uniform.
Language Skills
- Possesses strong language skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from management, flight crew, passengers, and the general public.
- Must be fluent in English, including the ability to speak clearly and be understood, even when issuing shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.
Reasoning/Problem Solving Ability
- Demonstrates excellent reasoning and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to thrive in a time-sensitive environment and effectively manage stress associated with deadlines and unforeseen changes.
- Proficiently interprets various and complex instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
- Maintains composure, thinks critically, and reacts swiftly in all types of emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.

- Maintains the ability to walk and stand for extended periods, even amidst aircraft turbulence.
- Capable of stooping, crouching, squatting, climbing, and kneeling.
- Possesses visual acuity of 20/20 or better with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Demonstrates clear auditory perception for verbal communications in person and via aircraft communication systems, even with ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Must be able to sit securely in the assigned jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without requiring any modifications.
- Capable of moving freely, effectively, and quickly within the aircraft's confined environment to perform all required functions.
- Able to work extended duty periods on consecutive days.

This role requires extensive travel, up to 100% of the time, which includes nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. Relocation may be required based on the company's operational needs.
