Flight Attendant
Position Overview
The Flight Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and exceptional experience of all passengers, operating in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company Inflight guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, maintaining constant attention to guest needs to provide a safe and comfortable onboard experience.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and the proficient use of all onboard emergency equipment, including operating emergency exits and aircraft equipment with the necessary movements and force (up to 70 pounds).
- Provide comprehensive food and beverage service to passengers, which includes the ability to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with the proper stowage of carry-on baggage, including items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and hygienic cabin environment throughout the flight.
- Contribute to reliable and on-time flight operations by collaborating effectively with other crew members to meet all report times, departure times, and minimum turn-around times.
- Execute in-flight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Provide support to other Customer Service staff with passenger handling and various related duties as required.
- Uphold reliable and prompt attendance in strict accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Present a highly professional image, encompassing both conduct and appearance, by strictly adhering to the company uniform dress code.
- Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as stipulated in applicable manuals.
- Maintain current knowledge of all Inflight guides and manuals.
- Actively foster the company's core values and positive culture within the work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required to support operational needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job successfully.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required, accompanied by a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Applicants must be at least 20 years of age by the date of their first interview.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Additional years of customer service experience, particularly within an aviation environment, are highly preferred.
- Prior Flight Attendant experience is a distinct advantage.
Other Requirements
- Possess polished interpersonal skills, a consistently positive attitude, and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Must be capable and willing to serve and handle various food items, including peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work around animals, common allergens, and various products.
- Adherence to the company's Flight Attendant Style Guide and Dress Code is mandatory. Tattoos are strictly prohibited on the face (front of face from ears forward, underside of chin, cheeks), neck (area below uniform shirt collar), and hands (tops, palms, and fingers, up through the wrist bone). Any tattoos in non-prohibited areas must not be visible while in uniform.
- Possess a minimum wingspan of approximately 55 inches to safely reach and operate all necessary aircraft equipment.
- For safety reasons, candidates must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with the seatbelt (50 inches fastened) and shoulder harness (40 inches fastened) securely fastened without any extenders or modifications that could compromise harness integrity.
- Multiple visible piercings are not permitted while in uniform.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical procedures and governmental aviation regulations.
- Proficiency in effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from management, flight crew, passengers, and the general public.
- Fluency in spoken English, including the ability to communicate clearly and be understood, even when delivering shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.
Reasoning/Problem Solving Ability
- Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive environment, effectively managing stress associated with strict deadlines and unexpected operational changes.
- Capable of interpreting diverse and multi-faceted instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, think critically, and react swiftly in all types of emergency scenarios, including but not limited to: medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and severe turbulence.

- Makes day-to-day operational decisions that are often structured yet require thoughtful consideration.
- Possesses the ability to process information rapidly and react positively during unexpected or serious situations.
- Capable of maintaining composure and acting professionally under high levels of stress.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits, requiring movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 pounds above shoulder height.
- Capable of pushing and pulling moveable carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, including during aircraft turbulence.
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Visual acuity of 20/20 or better (with corrective lenses or contacts) for clear vision at 20 feet or more.
- Auditory acuity enabling clear reception of verbal communications in person and via airplane communication systems amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Ability to sit comfortably in the assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- Capable of moving freely, effectively, and quickly within a confined aircraft environment to perform all required functions.
- Ability to work extended duty periods on consecutive days.

Travel Requirements
This role requires extensive travel, up to 100% of the time, encompassing nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. Willingness to relocate based on the Company’s operational needs is also required.
