The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the utmost safety, security, and comfort of all passengers aboard the aircraft. This role operates in strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and comprehensive Inflight guidelines, delivering an exceptional onboard experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, providing consistent attention to guests while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable onboard experience.
Maintains thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and the proper use of all emergency equipment on board the aircraft. Operates all emergency exits and aircraft equipment, utilizing necessary movements and force up to and including 70 pounds.
Provides food and beverage service to passengers, which requires the ability to push and pull movable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
Assists passengers with the safe and efficient stowage of carry-on baggage, including items weighing up to and including 35 pounds.
Maintains a consistently neat, orderly, and hygienic cabin environment throughout all phases of flight.
Contributes to a reliable and on-time flight operation by collaborating effectively with other crewmembers to meet all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times.
Executes in-flight sales and promotional duties as assigned, contributing to ancillary revenue generation.
Assists other Customer Service staff as needed, providing support with passenger handling or other duties to ensure smooth ground operations.
Maintains reliable and prompt attendance in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Presents a professional image, encompassing both conduct and appearance, including strict adherence to the Company uniform dress code.
Complies rigorously with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in applicable manuals and operational guidelines.
Ensures continuous currency with all Inflight guides and operational manuals, staying informed of all procedural updates.
Actively fosters and embodies the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
Performs additional duties as assigned or required to support the broader operational needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED is required.
A minimum of two years of direct customer service experience is essential.
Applicants must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Additional years of customer service experience, with a strong preference for experience within an aviation environment.
Previous experience as a Flight Attendant is highly desirable.
Other Essential Requirements:
Possesses polished interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive attitude and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages.
Must be able and willing to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
Capable of working with animals and around other potential allergens and products.
Adherence to Republic’s Flight Attendant Style Guide (Dress Code) is mandatory: Tattoos are strictly prohibited on the face (including the front of one’s face from their ears forward, including the underside of one’s chin and cheeks), neck (the area down to where a uniform shirt collar would clearly and consistently cover), and hands (including both the tops and palms of one’s hands and fingers, up through the wrist bone). Tattoos in non-prohibited areas must not be visible at any time while in uniform.
Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to safely reach and operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
For safety reasons, candidates must have the ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without an extender or other modification that could compromise the integrity of the harness. (For reference purposes only: The lap belt measurement is 50 inches when fastened, and the shoulder harness measurement is 40 inches when fastened).
Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical procedures and governmental aviation regulations.
Capable of effectively presenting information to and responding to questions from management, fellow crew members, passengers, and the general public.
Fluent in English, including the ability to speak clearly and be understood, particularly when shouting verbal commands during emergency situations.
Reasoning and Problem-Solving Ability:
Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and effectively manage stress associated with meeting deadlines and adapting to unexpected changes.
Proficient in interpreting a variety of and multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and react swiftly in all types of emergency situations, including but not limited to: medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.

Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel comfortably.
Acuity to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems, amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
Must be able to sit securely in the assigned jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
Capable of moving about the aircraft and performing all required functions freely, effectively, and quickly within a confined environment.
Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.
