Flight Attendant
Ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers is the paramount responsibility of the Flight Attendant, acting in strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Inflight guidelines. This role is central to providing an exceptional onboard experience while upholding the highest standards of aviation safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
The Flight Attendant successfully performs a range of essential duties to ensure safe and comfortable air travel. These responsibilities include:
- Performing all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with unwavering attention to guests, delivering a safe and comfortable onboard experience.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and the use of all emergency equipment onboard the aircraft. This involves the ability to operate all emergency exits and aircraft equipment using necessary movements and force, up to and including 70 pounds.
- Providing attentive food and beverage service to passengers, which requires pushing and pulling moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Assisting passengers with stowing carry-on baggage, capable of lifting items weighing up to and including 35 pounds.
- Maintaining a neat, orderly, and professional cabin environment throughout the flight.
- Contributing significantly to reliable and on-time airline operations by collaborating effectively with other crewmembers to meet all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times.
- Executing inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned by the company.
- Providing support to other Customer Service staff as needed, assisting with passenger handling and related duties.
- Maintaining reliable and prompt attendance, strictly adhering to Company policies and procedures.
- Presenting a professional image at all times, encompassing both conduct and appearance, including strict adherence to the Company uniform dress code.
- Complying diligently with associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in all applicable manuals.
- Maintaining currency and thorough knowledge of all Inflight guides and manuals.
- Actively fostering the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment and interactions.
- Performing additional duties as assigned or required to support operational needs.

Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of two years of customer service experience. Candidates must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional years of customer service experience, particularly within an aviation environment, and previous Flight Attendant experience are highly preferred.
Other Essential Requirements
- Possessing polished interpersonal skills, exhibiting a consistently positive attitude and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages to passengers.
- Ability and willingness to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Comfortable working with animals and around common allergens and products present in the cabin environment.
- Adherence to the Company’s Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding appearance, including specific guidelines on tattoos. Tattoos are not permitted on the head, face, neck (including behind the ear), chest, hands, or fingers. Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, ankles, and feet are permitted if less than 2” x 3.25”; otherwise, they must be fully covered by an approved method.
- A minimum wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater is required to reach and safely operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
- For safety reasons, the ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without an extender or modification is mandatory. The lap belt measurement is 50 inches when fastened, and the shoulder harness measurement is 40 inches when fastened.
- No multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
Language Skills
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations is essential.
- Candidates must be able to effectively present information to and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
- The ability to speak and be clearly understood in English, including delivering shouted verbal commands during emergency situations, is required.
Reasoning and Problem Solving
- Must demonstrate the willingness to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment and capably handle stress associated with meeting deadlines and managing unexpected changes.
- The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is necessary.
- Candidates must remain calm, think quickly, and react appropriately in all types of emergency situations, including but not limited to medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.
Decision Making
- This role involves making day-to-day decisions supporting the operation, which often require thoughtful consideration and are somewhat structured.
- The Flight Attendant must be able to process information quickly and react in a positive manner during unexpected and/or serious situations, capable of controlling personal and emotional responses and acting appropriately under high levels of stress.
Physical Demands
The role requires meeting specific physical demands to successfully perform essential functions:
- Possessing the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits using necessary movements and force, up to and including 70 pounds.
- Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to and including 35 pounds.
- Able to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods, including during aircraft turbulence.
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel as needed.
- Able to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Able to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems despite ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Must be able to sit in the assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Must be able to move about the aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively, and quickly in a confined environment.
- Able to work extended duty periods on sequential days as operational needs dictate.

Travel Requirements
This position involves significant travel, up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Willingness to relocate based on the Company’s operational needs is required.
