Flight Attendant

Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the position of Flight Attendant. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers while adhering to all FAA and Inflight guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with meticulous attention to passenger needs, creating a safe and comfortable in-flight experience.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures and the operation of all emergency equipment, including the ability to operate exits and equipment with movements and force up to 70 pounds.
  • Provide attentive food and beverage service, which includes pushing and pulling carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional cabin environment.
  • Contribute to on-time operations by collaborating with crew members to meet all scheduled times.
  • Execute inflight sales and promotional activities as directed.
  • Provide assistance to other customer service staff with passenger handling and other duties as required.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Present a professional image in conduct and appearance, adhering to the company's uniform guidelines.
  • Adhere to associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in all applicable manuals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Inflight guides and manuals.
  • Uphold the company’s core values and culture within the work environment.
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age by the first interview date.
  • Polished interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Must be able to handle and serve meals containing peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
  • Ability to work with animals and around potential allergens.
  • Compliance with the company's tattoo policy. Tattoos are not permitted on the head, face, neck, chest, hands, or fingers. Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, ankles, and feet must be less than 2" x 3.25" or be covered by an approved method.
  • A wingspan of 55 inches or more to safely reach and operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
  • Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications, with reference lap belt measurement of 50 inches and shoulder harness measurement of 40 inches when fastened.
  • Must not have multiple visible piercings while in uniform.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to give clear verbal commands, including during emergency situations.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively handle stress associated with deadlines and change.
  • Capacity to interpret and follow various instructions, whether written, oral, or diagrammatic.
  • Ability to remain composed and react swiftly in various emergency scenarios.
  • Ability to make day-to-day operational decisions that support the operation and to process information quickly and act positively in unexpected situations.
  • Capability to control personal and emotional responses and act appropriately under high levels of stress.
  • Physical strength to operate emergency equipment and exits with the necessary force, up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to lift objects above shoulders, up to 35 pounds, and to push/pull carts exceeding 250 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes during aircraft turbulence; able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
  • Vision clarity of 20 feet or more, with corrective lenses if required and ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over communication systems with ambient noise.
  • Ability to move throughout the aircraft and perform all functions freely and quickly in a confined environment.
  • Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional years of customer service experience, particularly within an aviation setting.
  • Previous experience as a Flight Attendant.

Work Environment and Travel:

  • Must be willing to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact professionally with passengers and crew under pressure.
  • Ability to accommodate customers' special needs/disabilities.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
  • Travel requirement of up to 100%, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Willingness to relocate based on company operational needs.
