Flight Attendant
A dedicated and safety-conscious professional is sought to join our team as a Flight Attendant. This individual will ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while adhering to all FAA and Inflight guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, maintaining constant attention to passenger needs while providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and the proper use of emergency equipment; operate all emergency exits and aircraft equipment, which may require movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Provide food and beverage service to passengers, involving the pushing and pulling of mobile carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and welcoming cabin environment.
- Collaborate with crew members to ensure reliable, on-time operations by adhering to all report, departure, and turn times.
- Execute inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Provide assistance to Customer Service staff with passenger handling and other related duties as needed.
- Maintain dependable and punctual attendance, following all company policies and procedures.
- Present a professional image in both conduct and appearance, adhering to the company's uniform dress code.
- Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in relevant manuals.
- Keep all Inflight guides and manuals up to date.
- Contribute to the company's core values and positive work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, coupled with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrated by a positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages, and able to handle and serve meals containing peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef and pork.
- Must be able to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Must meet the company’s dress code guidelines including tattoo and piercing policies. Visible tattoos are limited to specified areas and sizes.
- Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to operate all necessary equipment.
- Must have the ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing technical documents, procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, including the ability to give verbal commands in emergency situations.
- Must demonstrate the ability to remain calm, think clearly, and react rapidly in emergency situations.
- Capable of working in a time-sensitive environment, managing stress effectively, and adjusting to unexpected change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional years of customer service experience, particularly in an aviation-related environment.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess the physical strength to reach, lift, and operate all emergency equipment and exits using necessary movements and force, up to 70 pounds.
- Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
- Able to push and pull moveable carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes amidst aircraft turbulence.
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb and kneel.
- Able to see clearly at 20 feet or more with or without corrective lenses.
- Able to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems amidst background aircraft and passenger noise.
- Must be able to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Must be able to move about the aircraft and perform all required functions effectively and quickly in a confined environment.
- Capable of working extended duty periods on consecutive days.
Work Environment:
- Able and willing to work in a culturally diverse setting, interacting professionally with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Must be able to accommodate passengers with special needs or disabilities.
- Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel Requirements:
Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Willing to relocate based on the company’s operational needs.
