Flight Attendant
A highly motivated and service-oriented individual is sought to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering to all FAA and Inflight guidelines. This role demands a commitment to providing a secure and pleasant onboard experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with consistent attentiveness to passengers.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment; operate emergency exits and aircraft equipment, requiring the ability to exert force up to 70 pounds.
- Serve food and beverages, which involves maneuvering carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Uphold a neat and orderly cabin environment.
- Collaborate with crew members to ensure on-time departures, adhering to all report and turn times.
- Conduct in-flight sales and promotional activities as assigned.
- Assist Customer Service staff with passenger handling and other duties.
- Maintain reliable and punctual attendance according to company policies.
- Present a professional image in conduct and appearance, adhering to the company uniform guidelines.
- Comply with associate Rules of Conduct as specified in company manuals.
- Maintain current knowledge of Inflight guides and manuals.
- Promote the company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the first interview date.
- Demonstrated polished interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work with animals and around allergens.
- Must comply with the company's tattoo policy, permitting visible tattoos on arms, wrist, legs, ankles, and feet if less than 2” x 3.25”; otherwise, they must be fully covered.
- Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
- Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- Must not have multiple visible piercings while in uniform.
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and government regulations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the public.
- Fluent in English, including the ability to give shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive environment, manage stress, and handle unexpected changes.
- Capability to interpret multiple instructions in various formats.
- Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations, including medical incidents, aircraft decompression, evacuations, fires, security threats, and turbulence.
- Capacity to make sound decisions and react positively during unexpected situations.
- Ability to control personal responses and act appropriately under stress.
- Physical strength to operate emergency equipment and exits, requiring up to 70 pounds of force.
- Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more, with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in-person and over aircraft communication systems.
- Ability to move freely and quickly within the confined aircraft environment.
- Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional years of customer service experience, especially in aviation.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact professionally with passengers and crew.
- Accommodate passengers with special needs and disabilities.
- Willingness to work varied schedules, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
- Willingness to relocate based on operational needs.
