Flight Attendant
This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering to all FAA and Inflight guidelines. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with a focus on guest safety and comfort.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures and aircraft emergency equipment, including the ability to operate all emergency exits and equipment, utilizing up to 70 pounds of force when necessary.
- Provide food and beverage service to passengers, which requires the ability to push and pull carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a neat and organized cabin environment.
- Contribute to on-time operations by collaborating effectively with crew members.
- Perform inflight sales and promotional duties as required.
- Support other customer service personnel with passenger handling and other duties.
- Maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
- Present a professional image in both conduct and appearance, adhering to the company's uniform standards.
- Comply with the company’s Rules of Conduct as outlined in all applicable manuals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Inflight guides and manuals.
- Promote the company’s core values and culture within the work environment.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the first interview date.
- Possess polished interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-centric mindset.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Must be able to work with animals and around allergens.
- Tattoos must adhere to the company’s Flight Attendant Style Guide.
- Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to operate aircraft equipment.
- Must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- Must not have multiple visible piercings while in uniform.
- Excellent English language skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical documents, communicate effectively, and respond to questions from various stakeholders, including the ability to give verbal commands during emergency situations.
- Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive, stressful situations.
- Capability to interpret and follow written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions.
- Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and react swiftly in emergency scenarios.
- Demonstrates sound decision-making skills that support operations.
- Capability to control personal responses and act appropriately under stress.
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess the physical strength to operate all emergency equipment using up to 70 pounds of force.
- Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to hear verbal communications in noisy environments.
- Must be able to move freely within the aircraft and perform all required functions quickly.
- Must be able to work extended duty periods on sequential days.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact professionally with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Ability to accommodate customers’ special needs and disabilities.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel required up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight trips.
- Willing to relocate based on company operational needs.
